Alexander Bay Station was a Canadian settlement in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
The community contained a store as well as a telegraph and express office in 1911. It was in Bonavista District and was situated on the Clarenville Branch of the Newfoundland Railway.
It was located 181 miles from St. John's, 50 miles from Clarenville, west of Glovertown. The post office began on April 1, 1949, and was closed by September 13, 1966.
The bay was previously named Bloody Bay or Bloody Reach, after a conflict between European settlers and the Beothuk, but was later renamed after local merchant William Alexander. [1]

Random Island is an island located off Canada's Atlantic coast. Part of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, it is located on the east coast of Newfoundland and partially surrounded by the Bonavista Peninsula on the north and within the confines of Trinity Bay. The island is approximately 35 km (22 mi) long, its width varies from 15 km (9.3 mi) on the eastern end, to 6 km (3.7 mi) in the middle, to 17 km (11 mi) on the western end, with a total area of around 310 km2 (120 sq mi). According to the 2016 census, the population of the island is 1,232.

Smith Sound is a zigzag 24 kilometre inner region of Trinity Bay. This sound is one of the longest portions of inshore waterways in Newfoundland, located on its north-eastern coast in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Bonavista Peninsula is to the north of the sound, while Random Island is to the south. The waters that make up the sound is a continuous channel that encircles Random Island, broken only by a narrow channel located at Clarenville where a causeway was built to provide access to the communities on Random Island. The channel on the south side of Random Island is North West Arm.

Settled first by the Mi’kmaq of Newfoundland which used land on the "Neck" of the Harbour, they were joined in the early 1800s, by the English Dodge family and by Irishman Thomas Hynes Sr. European fishermen were first brought to the small community by English merchant family of Newman and Co. based in Harbour Breton, the firm of merchant John Gorman, and the Jersey firm of Nicholle and Co. The town had a population of 117 in the Canada 2021 Census.

Little Heart's Ease is a community on the Southwest Arm on the east coast of Newfoundland, southeast of Clarenville. The Post Office was established in 1893. The first Postmaster was Eli Martin. It had a population of 443 in 1996. About 1612 it was referred as "Hearts Ease" by Governor John Guy of Cupids, as did Sir Richard Whitbourne, Governor of Renews. It was known for its fishing activity and as a very secure harbour for schooners. Today long-liners and draggers still enjoy its protection.
Gander Bay South is a local service district and designated place in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Gander Bay was a small place in the Fogo and Twillingate area in 1864. It was north of Gander. The way office opened in 1885 and the first waymaster was John Bursey. It became a post office on May 30, 1891, and the first postmaster was James Rowsell. It had no population after 1940. They moved to Gander Bay South.
