Norman Frederick Jewison was a Canadian filmmaker. He was known for directing films which addressed topical social and political issues, often making controversial or complicated subjects accessible to mainstream audiences. Among numerous other accolades, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director three times in three separate decades, for In the Heat of the Night (1967), Fiddler on the Roof (1971), and Moonstruck (1987). He was nominated for an additional four Oscars, three Golden Globe Awards, and a Primetime Emmy Award, and won a BAFTA Award. He received the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences's Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award in 1999.

Ivan John Clark was an English actor, director and producer. Clark is probably best known for his role as Just William in theatre and radio in the late 1940s and as the former husband of actress Lynn Redgrave, to whom he was married for 33 years. However, he established himself as a stage actor and director after moving to the United States in 1960, and became noted for directing plays featuring his wife in the 1970s beginning with A Better Place at Dublin's Gate Theatre (1973), then in America The Two of Us (1975), Saint Joan (1977–78), and a tour of California Suite (1976). In 1981, he directed an episode of the CBS television series House Calls, in which Redgrave starred.
Robert Adetuyi is a Canadian screenwriter and film director who works in Hollywood. Born in Sudbury, Ontario, Adetuyi is a graduate of York University, where he studied communications and sociology. He moved to Hollywood in 1992.
Vanessa Morgan Mziray is a Canadian actress. She is known for her roles as Beatrix "Bird" Castro in the MTV teen drama series Finding Carter, as Amanda Pierce in the Family teen comedy series The Latest Buzz, and as Sarah in the Disney Channel / Teletoon film My Babysitter's a Vampire and the television series of the same name. Kenneth T. Williams is a Cree playwright. He is from the Gordon First Nation, Saskatchewan in what is known as Treaty 4 territory. However, from the age of 12 through his early adulthood he lived off-reserve in Edmonton. Williams completed a B. A. and then became the first Indigenous person to earn an M.F.A. in playwriting from the University of Alberta in 1992. Since 2017, Williams has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Drama at the University of Alberta.

Stefan Wodoslawsky is a Canadian film producer and actor. Associated in his early career with the National Film Board of Canada, he is most noted as coproducer with Roman Kroitor of the 1979 film Bravery in the Field, which was an Academy Award nominee for Best Live Action Short Film at the 52nd Academy Awards and won the Genie Award for Best TV Drama Under 30 Minutes at the 1st Genie Awards.
Ekhaya: A Family Chronicle, also known as Molo Fish, is a South African-Canadian television drama miniseries, which aired in 1997. Created by Inner City Films and Kurira Films International for CBC Television and the South African Broadcasting Corporation, the series was based on the life of Clarence Hamilton, a Black South African who was arrested at age 18 for anti-apartheid activism and later fled into exile to Botswana, then Zimbabwe, finally settling in Canada.
