Alfred Serreqi (born September 24,1938) was the minister for foreign affairs for Albania in the 1992 government of Sali Berisha. He is a member of the Democratic Party. [1]
Ashoka,also known as Ashoka the Great,Piodasses in ancient Greece,was an Indian emperor of the Maurya Dynasty,who ruled almost all of the Indian subcontinent from c. 268 to 232 BCE. A grandson of the Maurya dynasty's founder Chandragupta Maurya,Ashoka promoted the spread of Buddhism across ancient Asia. Considered by many to be one of India's greatest emperors,Ashoka expanded Chandragupta's empire to reign over a realm stretching from present-day Afghanistan in the west to Bangladesh in the east. It covered the entire Indian subcontinent except for parts of present-day Tamil Nadu,Karnataka,and Kerala. The empire's capital was Pataliputra,with provincial capitals at Taxila and Ujjain.
Charles I was King of England,Scotland,and Ireland from 27 March 1625 until his execution in 1649. He was born into the House of Stuart as the second son of King James VI of Scotland,but after his father inherited the English throne in 1603,he moved to England,where he spent much of the rest of his life. He became heir apparent to the three kingdoms of England,Scotland,and Ireland in 1612 on the death of his elder brother Henry Frederick,Prince of Wales. An unsuccessful and unpopular attempt to marry him to the Spanish Habsburg princess Maria Anna culminated in an eight-month visit to Spain in 1623 that demonstrated the futility of the marriage negotiations. Two years later,he married the Bourbon princess Henrietta Maria of France.
The Code of Hammurabi is a Babylonian legal text composed c. 1755–1750 BC. It is the longest,best-organised,and best-preserved legal text from the ancient Near East. It is written in the Old Babylonian dialect of Akkadian,purportedly by Hammurabi,sixth king of the First Dynasty of Babylon. The primary copy of the text is inscribed on a basalt or diorite stele 2.25 m tall. The stele was discovered in 1901,at the site of Susa in present-day Iran,where it had been taken as plunder six hundred years after its creation. The text itself was copied and studied by Mesopotamian scribes for over a millennium. The stele now resides in the Louvre Museum.

The Ballon d'Or is an annual football award presented by French news magazine France Football that is one of the oldest and generally regarded as the most prestigious individual award for football players. It has been awarded since 1956,although between 2010 and 2015,an agreement was made with FIFA,and the award was temporarily merged with the FIFA World Player of the Year and known as the FIFA Ballon d'Or. The People of the State of California v. Orenthal James Simpson was a criminal trial in Los Angeles County Superior Court in which former National Football League (NFL) player,broadcaster and actor O. J. Simpson was tried and acquitted for the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. The pair were stabbed to death outside Brown's condominium in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles on the night of June 12,1994. The trial spanned eleven months,from the jury's swearing-in on November 9,1994. Opening statements were made on January 24,1995,and Simpson was acquitted of both counts of murder on October 3 of the same year. The trial is often characterized as the trial of the century because of its international publicity and has been described as the "most publicized" criminal trial in history.

Rutherford Birchard Hayes was an American lawyer and politician who served as the 19th president of the United States from 1877 to 1881,after serving in the U.S. House of Representatives and as governor of Ohio. Before the U.S. Civil War,Hayes was a lawyer and staunch abolitionist who defended refugee slaves in court proceedings. He served in the Union Army and the House of Representatives before assuming the presidency.
