Ali Asghar Mohtaj (1943) is a contemporary Iranian painter and Graphic Designer. He studied painting and graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tehran University in 1966. [1]
He was employed at National Iranian Radio and Television in 1972 and worked as a graphic designer at Soroush Publication. One of his most prominent works of art was creating the title sequence of "Dalirane Tangestan" series in the form of animation. He designed the poster for the film "Mina of the Silent City" (original title Minā-ye Shahr-e Khāmoush) directed by Amir Shahab Razavian. [2] He was secretary of the first Biennial of Iranian Graphic Design. [3]
He has been professor of graphic design at the University of Tehran.

Parviz Tanavoli is an Iranian sculptor, painter, educator, and art historian. He is a pioneer within the Saqqakhaneh school, a neo-traditionalist art movement. Tanavoli has been one of the most expensive Iranian artists in sales. Tanavoli series of sculpture work Heech are displayed in prestigious museums and public places, such as the British Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Hamline University, Aga Khan Museum, and as public art in the city of Vancouver. Additionally Tanavoli has written extensively on this history of Persian art and Persian crafts. Since 1989, Tanavoli has held dual nationality and has lived and worked both in Tehran, and Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver, British Columbia.
Guity Novin is an Iranian-born Canadian artist, known as a figurative painter and graphic designer. She classifies her work as "transpressionism", a term coined by Novin in the 1990s. Her works are in private and public collections worldwide. Novin has served on a UNESCO national committee of artists.

Houmayoun Mahmoudi / Homayoun Mahmoudi, born 1966 in Tehran, is an Iranian/British cartoonist, graphic artist and designer. He studied graphic design at the University of Tehran and graduated in animation from Tarbiat Modares University. Skilled in his own style of minimal cartoon, he has his own technique of working on sandpapers. Mahmoudi is married to Nooshin Moradi, a fashion artist, and moved to the United Kingdom in 2004 and worked as a freelance designer and international artist. He is currently doing PhD research in art and design at Manchester Metropolitan University. He has won numerous international cartoon contests around the world since 1994 and his artworks are exhibited in modern art exhibitions globally. In 1998 Graphis magazine interviewed Houmayoun and published his artworks and between 1999 and 2006 he was working with the Ritzenhoff Design company as a member of their artist team.

Gábor Palotai is a Swedish–Hungarian designer, artist, graphic designer and typographer. Since 1981 he lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. Gábor Palotai was born 1956 in Budapest, Hungary, where he also studied and received his MA degree in graphic design at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest 1976–1980. After his graduation he left Budapest and moved to Stockholm, where he continued his studies at The Royal Institute of Art, 1981–1983 and Beckmans College of Design, 1983–1984. Gábor Palotai is a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) since 2002. AGI unites the world's leading graphic designers. He is also a member of Svenska tecknare, Konstnärernas riksorganisation, and since 2015, the State Heraldic Board of the National Archives of Sweden. Gábor Palotai is an honorary professor at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Budapest, and in 2021 he received the Knight's Cross Order of Merit of Hungary.

Bahram Kalhornia is an Iranian contemporary artist and art critic. He was born in 1952 in Kermanshah in a Kurdish family who belonged to the Kalhor tribe. His undergraduate and graduate studies were in the fields of drawing, sculpture, graphics, and illustration, respectively. During the Iran-Iraq war, he moved to Kermanshah in 1985, where he taught in a newly opened Visual Art High school of Kermanshah for three years.
