Mersin İdmanyurdu Sports Club; located in Mersin, east Mediterranean coast of Turkey in 1976–77. Mersin İdmanyurdu has promoted from Second League 1975–76, after two season break to first division. It was the second time the team promoted to first division. In the first time, they have remained at the league for seven season. This second promotion had let the team to stay two more seasons. The 1976–77 season was the eighth season of Mersin İdmanyurdu (MİY) football team in Turkish First Football League in total. They finished seventh in the league.

The 1958–59 season was the club's 40th official season and their 56th year in existence. The club participated in the final season of the İstanbul Football League finishing in 5th place, behind Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Karagümrük and İstanbulspor. By finishing in the top 8, the team qualified for the inaugural season of the new national league; Turkish First Football League. By winning the Turkish Federation Cup a season ago Beşiktaş qualified for the European Cup, but lost to Real Madrid 1-3 on aggregate in the first round. Real Madrid however would go on to win the cup for a 4th time. Beşiktaş was placed into the "White Group" along with Fenerbahçe, Altay, Izmirspor, Ankaragücü, Hacettepe, Beykoz and İstanbulspor. Beşiktaş finished 2nd place behind Fenerbahçe missing the final match, where Fenerbahçe would beat Galatasaray for the title.

The 1957–58 season was the 55th year of the club's existence. They played in the Turkish Federation Cup for the cup's second year. They won it by defeating Galatasaray 2-0 on aggregate, in a two legged final. By winning the tournament, Beşiktaş qualified for the 1958–59 European Cup. Beşiktaş won the cup last year and qualified for the 1957–58 European Cup, but the Turkish Football Federation did not send their names to the draw so they were disqualified. In the İstanbul Football League, Beşiktaş finished 4th, behind Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and İstanbulspor.

The 1928–29 season was Galatasaray SK's 25th in existence and the club's 18th consecutive season in the Istanbul Football League.

Riva is a village, administratively a neighborhood, in Beykoz intracity district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. This place is the filming location of the Turkish TV show hit called Diriliş: Ertuğrul and its sequel Kuruluş: Osman. It is a coastal village in the Anatolian part of Greater Istanbul, situated between Anadolu Feneri and Şile. Çayağzı creek flows to Black Sea with in the village and there is a wide beach to the west of the creek. The distance to Beykoz center is about 16 kilometres (9.9 mi). The population of Riva is 1,585 as of 2011. Before the First World War, majority of the village population was composed of Greeks. But after the population exchange between Greece and Turkey in the 1920s, Greeks left the village and Turks from the Black Sea region settled in the village.

Mehmet Ali Has was a Turkish footballer who played as a forward and was best known for his stints at Fenerbahçe and Beykoz in the Turkish Süper Lig. He was nicknamed Tarzan Mehmet Ali because of his long hair.
