Ali Bin Fahad Al-Shahwani Al-Hajri (born March 6, 1960), is a Qatari diplomat who served as the Qatar Ambassador to the United States, Canada and Mexico from 2008 to 2012.
Al-Hajri graduated from the University of Southern Colorado (now Colorado State University Pueblo) in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.
He has served in diplomatic positions for much of his career, including Morocco from 1995 to 1997; the United Nations from 1997 to 2000; Italy, Greece, Albania, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, and San Marino from 2000 to 2005. He was appointed Ambassador to the United States in 2008 and in 2009 was appointed non-resident ambassador to Mexico and Canada.

He is currently a Diplomat in Residence at American University's School of International Service and works with the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the Atlantic Council, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and as an independent consultant, speaker and writer. Wayne worked as an adviser for HSBC Latin America on improving management of financial crime risk from 2015 until 2019 and with the American Foreign Service Association from 2017 to 2019.

The United Airlines Flight 663 incident was a "minor international incident" in 2010 involving a Qatari diplomat on the leg of a United Airlines flight from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport to Denver International Airport. The diplomat prompted a mid-air terrorism alert after smoking in the aircraft lavatory, which led the Qatari government to recall him two days later. United no longer uses Flight 663 as a DCA-DEN-LAS route. UA663 is now used on the Eugene-Denver route, flown by an Airbus A320.
