Alireza Sheikhattar (born 9 June 1952 in Tehran) is an Iranian diplomat and previous ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Berlin.
After receiving a BA in chemistry from the Sharif University of Technology, he earned a Master's in Management. Sheikhattar speaks Persian (mother tongue), English and Turkish.
The official website of the Iranian Embassy describes him as Director of the Poly Acrylic Company of Iran from 1977 to 1979. From 2003 to 2005, he was the daily newspaper's Managing Director and Chief Editor, Hamshahri.

Sheikhattar was a governor from 1980 to 1985 of the provinces of Kordestan and West Azerbaijan. Subsequently, he was Deputy Minister of Industry from 1985 to 1989. After that, he was in the office of adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the CIS countries from 1990 to 1992. From that year until 1998, he was the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Delhi. He was in the Office of the Secretary-General until 1999. Sheikhattar was then the 1999-2005 Advisor to the Supreme National Security Council and director of research for Asia at the Center for Strategic Studies. From 2005 to 2007, he served as a Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs and from 2007 to 2008, he served as a Deputy Foreign Minister and Vice Minister for the Middle East and CIS countries.
Since October 2008, Sheikh Attar has worked after a long diplomatic tug-of-war as Ambassador of the National Republic of Iran in Berlin. He succeeded former Ambassador Mohammad Mehdi Akhoundzadeh Basti.
He is a prolific writer in Persian and English on Management, Central Asia, India, Iraq and Kurdistan.

In the 1970s, Tarzi was the Afghan diplomat in Washington D.C., United States of America.
Seyed Mohammad Hossein Adeli is an Iranian politician, diplomat, economist and academic. He was the Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum from 2014 until 2018. He is the founder of Ravand Institute. He was the chairman of Iran's first Investment Bank Amin Investment Bank until 2011. In May 2014, he received the Order of the Rising Sun from the Emperor of Japan, Akihito, the highest Order given to any Iranian National for his important role in the Iran–Japan relations.
Humayun Rasheed Choudhury was a Bangladeshi career diplomat and Speaker of the Bangladesh National Parliament from 1996 to 2001. He was elected president of the 41st session of the UN General Assembly in 1986. He was awarded Independence Day Award in 2018 posthumously by the Government of Bangladesh.

He has served as Director General of South Asia Co-operative Environment Programme (SACEP) who was nominated by the Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for a term of three years, from August 2018 to September 2020. Dr. Abas Basir was also appointed as Deputy for South Asia Neutregeon Hub between the years 2019–2020.

Note: Mohsen Baharvand is an Iranian diplomat who served as ambassador of Iran to United Kingdom from July 2021 to February 2022. In February 2022, Baharvand organized an event to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. A video circulated showing an embassy reception in London. A woman playing piano alongside a male violinist and several other women were not wearing their hijab, despite the hijab being required in Iran. After the video circulated, he was ordered back to Tehran by the Foreign Ministry and was removed from position as diplomat.
Attack on the Iranian Embassy in London was an incident that took place on Friday, March 9, 2018 by some supporters of Sadiq al-Shirazi affiliated with the Mahdi Servants Union. With the intention of supporting al-Shirazi's school and protesting the arrest of Hussein al-Shirazi by the Islamic Republic of Iran, these people entered the premises and balcony of the Iranian Embassy in London, pulled down the Iranian flag and displayed the flag of their own group. The attackers also chanted slogans against the Iranian authorities and cursed Aisha, Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman. The attack was covered live by some satellite TV channels, including Fadak satellite channel, which is said to be affiliated with Yasser Al-Habib, a Kuwaiti Shia Muslim scholar resident of London.
