Alistair Pirrie (1954or1955 - 27 January 2017) was a British television and radio presenter, producer and director, well known in the North East England for radio and local TV work, primarily on Radio Tees. He attended Grangefield School, Stockton on Tees.
His first break into the music scene came as a young journalist for the New Musical Express (NME) in the early 70s, including a seminal interview with Leonard Cohen in March 1973 at a point when Cohen was debating leaving the industry. However, he is best known nationally in the UK for presenting the ITV Tyne Tees children's television pop music programme Razzmatazz between 1981 and 1987. The show also provided Lisa Stansfield with an early presenting role. He also acted as a producer for ITV's ill-fated Top of the Pops competitor, The Roxy [1] [2]
He subsequently moved to London, leaving mainstream broadcasting to focus on social work and community projects such as video and radio workshops at The Community Zone in South London, as well as working on rehabilitation projects for prisoners with The Clink Institute (now The Clink Charity). He was also a member of the Arts Centre Group, a group to encourage Christians in the arts, media and entertainment. [3]
He also produced and directed video material for the comedians Jimmy Jones and Roy Chubby Brown.
He was married to Noi, and had three children: Tamasin, Dominique, and Atticus. He died, at age 62, following a major stroke, in Streatham, South London, where he had lived for the previous two decades. [4]

From 1948 to 1959, he co-wrote the BBC Radio comedy programme Take It from Here with Frank Muir. Muir and Norden remained associated for more than 50 years, appearing regularly together on the radio panel programmes My Word! and My Music after they stopped collaborating on scripts. He also wrote scripts for Hollywood films. He presented television programmes on ITV for many years, including the nostalgia quiz Looks Familiar and blooper shows It'll be Alright on the Night and Laughter File.

William Robert Young is a British singer-songwriter and actor who came to prominence after winning the 2002 inaugural series of the ITV talent contest Pop Idol, making him the first winner of the worldwide Idol franchise. His double A-sided debut single "Anything Is Possible" / "Evergreen" was released two weeks after the show's finale and became the fastest-selling debut single in the UK. Young also came in fifth place in World Idol performing the single "Light My Fire" written by the band the Doors.
The Tube was a United Kingdom music television programme, which ran for five series, from 5 November 1982 to 26 April 1987. It was filmed in Newcastle upon Tyne and produced by Tyne Tees Television for Channel 4, which had previously produced the similar music show Alright Now and the music-oriented youth show Check it Out for ITV; production of the latter ended in favour of The Tube.
Jeremy James Anthony Gibson-Beadle MBE was an English television presenter, radio presenter, writer and producer. During the 1980s he was a regular face on British television, and in two years appeared in 50 weeks of the year.
Peter Asher, is an English guitarist, singer, manager and record producer. He came to prominence in the 1960s as a member of the pop music vocal duo Peter and Gordon before going on to a successful career as a manager and record producer, helping to foster the recording careers of James Taylor and Linda Rondstadt among others. As of 2018, he tours alongside Jeremy Clyde of Chad and Jeremy in a new duo entitled Peter and Jeremy, where they perform hits from both of their respective catalogues. In 2019, Asher published a book The Beatles from A to Zed about his personal reminiscences about the band.

He is a three-times Royal Television Society Award winner and his programmes are currently airing in over 70 countries. He has executive produced for both the BBC and ITV working with Alistair McGowan on the BBC Restoration project, and Chris Tarrant on the BBC Four History of the World in 100 objects series. He is a law graduate with experience in consumer and legal programming. In 2013/14, Hanrahan also returned to radio presenting as a guest host on BBC Radio in 2014 and 2015. In 2017, his legal TV series 'The Jury Room' for CBS Reality also saw him present a six-part Podcast.

The Roxy was a British music television programme broadcast on the ITV network from June 1987 to April 1988 and was produced by Tyne Tees Television in Newcastle, shortly after its more successful Channel 4 music show, The Tube, was decommissioned.

Supersonic was a British television music show, which featured pop music artists of the day, one of the many attempts by ITV to equal the success of the BBC's Top of the Pops. Launched in 1975, the show typically lasted 25 minutes and was produced by London Weekend Television for the ITV network, running for two years. However, it suffered from a lack of networking so the programme was rarely, if ever, seen at the same time or on the same day in all ITV regions. Although initially planned for LWT's Saturday morning schedule, the first series was broadcast by Anglia, Border, Grampian, Tyne-Tees, Ulster and Yorkshire on Thursdays at 5.20pm from 4 September 1975; ATV transmitted it on Fridays at 5.20pm from 5 September 1975; LWT and Westward showed it at 11.05am from Saturday 6 September 1975; Granada at 5.20pm from Monday 8 September 1975; and Scottish Television started showing it a week later, from Saturday 13 September. The Supersonic Christmas Show 1975 was broadcast on 26 December 1975 at 5.30pm in 7 of the ITV regions, and on 27 December 1975 in 3 regions. By the beginning of 1976, LWT had moved transmissions to early Saturday evening but this was mainly in London, the other regions continuing to schedule the series at different times or days, or not broadcasting it at all. The programme was devised and created by David Deyong and presented by film and music producer Mike Mansfield and the main theme was composed and sung by Andy Bown.
