All About Music, abbreviated as AAM, is an annual music conference event held in Mumbai, India. The parent company of the event is TM Ventures. [1] The event provides a forum for industry professionals, artists, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders from India and around the world to network, exchange ideas, and explore new opportunities in the music industry. All About Music is typically held at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai in Santacruz. Previously, It used to be held at Taj Lands. [3] The event usually spans three days in early August or September and is organized around a theme that reflects prevailing trends in the music industry. [4]

The conference features panel discussions, keynote speeches, workshops, and showcases for emerging musicians, along with live performances by various artists. AAM serves as a forum for networking, information exchange, and collaboration among participants from both the global music industry and the Indian market, addressing topics such as emerging technologies, market trends, and industry challenges. [5] Over the years, the event has attracted thousands of attendees, including industry executives, artists, and brand representatives. Previous editions have included speakers and experts such as A. 2017-2022: Inception to Global Music

From its inception in 2017, All About Music has developed into a business-to-business (B2B) music conference in India. [8] The first edition established the event as a platform for discussions on innovation, industry growth, and collaboration among artists, professionals, and stakeholders. In 2018, the conference emphasized the role of technology in the music industry, with sessions on digital distribution, streaming platforms, and the impact of social media on artist careers. [9]

The 2019 edition focused on the theme "Music in Media," examining the relationship between music and film, television, advertising, and gaming. Industry professionals discussed how these sectors influence audience engagement and artist visibility. [10] In 2020, the conference transitioned to a virtual format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the theme "Resilience and Reinvention," discussions centered on digital concerts, online music promotion, and evolving revenue models. [11]

As the industry began to recover in 2021, the conference facilitated discussions on collaborations between musicians and filmmakers, providing opportunities for artists to present original compositions for film and sync licensing. [12] [13] In 2022, All About Music expanded its focus to include international perspectives, addressing India's position in the global music industry and strategies for artists and labels to extend their reach beyond domestic markets. 2023: Transitions

The 2023 edition of All About Music (AAM) was centered around the theme "Transitions," focusing on emerging trends and developments within the music industry. The conference explored topics such as the impact of artificial intelligence, evolving market dynamics in the post-pandemic landscape, music publishing, understanding your rights, modern-day A&R, effective monetization strategies, and music distribution methods and changing audience behaviors. Emphasizing connections, community, and consolidation, the event encouraged discussions on the future of the Indian music industry and opportunities for collaboration. [16] [17]

Notable industry figures, including Amit Trivedi, Salim Merchant, Shekhar Ravjiyani, MC Stan, Ricky Kej, Raja Kumari, Lucky Ali, Sunidhi Chauhan, Nucleya, Bismil, Daler Mehndi, Shreya Ghoshal and KR$NA, participated in the conference, sharing their insights and experiences. 2024: Synthesis

In 2024, the All About Music (AAM) conference embraced the theme "Synthesis: Piece by Piece", focusing on embracing change, fostering collaboration, and building a sustainable future for the music industry. [20] The conference featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including renowned composer A.R. Rahman, Grammy-winning sound engineer Alan Meyerson, and veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai. AAM 2024 served as a platform for music industry professionals to connect, share knowledge, and explore innovative advancements in the business of music, reflecting the essence of its "Synthesis" theme. In the 2024 Edition, There were over 3,500 attendees present in the event. [21] [22]

2025: Upcoming

AllAboutMusic announced their upcoming edition set to happen on 20th to 22nd August 2025. However, the theme of the event hasn't been named yet.
