Allan Cove is a cove and a former hamlet in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is located on Newfoundland's south coast near McCallum.[ citation needed ]

Fortune Bay is a fairly large natural bay located in the Gulf of St. Lawrence on the south coast of Newfoundland, Canada. The Bay is bounded by Point Crewe on the Burin Peninsula and Pass Island at the entrance to Hermitage Bay to the northwest for a distance of 56 kilometers. The bay extends in a northeast direction for 105 kilometers ending at Terrenceville.
Facheux Bay was the location of a small fishing settlement of the same name. In 1901 it had a population of 47. The community was also called Fachier, Facheaux, and Fouche. Facheux Bay is a deep fjord that separates Eastern Head and Western Head of Hermitage Bay, Newfoundland, Canada. Facheux bay is 2.25 miles (3.62 km) west of Mosquito Cove. The entrance is between two steep falls in high hills. The bay runs in 6.5 miles (10.5 km), with an average width of 0.75 miles (1.21 km), and has deep water throughout. On the west side are three coves with anchorage in 20 to 10 fathoms.
Tors Cove is a local service district and designated place in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is on the east coast of the Avalon Peninsula of the island of Newfoundland, approximately 40 kilometres south of the St. John's, the provincial capital, along Route 10. Garden Cove is a local service district and designated place in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is southeast of Swift Current. The residents of Sound Island moved without government assistance during a period around 1953. They moved to the mainland into Garden Cove and surrounding communities. Today Garden Cove has an active close community. There is a tour boat, Merasheen which is part of the Woody Island Resort hotel which gives people a Newfoundland outport experience. Garden Cove has hiking trails passing by Big Rock Hill and Placentiamans Point. There is an inshore fishery operating there. Some species caught are lobster, cod, mackerel, herring, crab, scallops, mussels, flounder and trout. Late in summer Tuna chase bill fish just off shore.

The area was first settled by James Coffey in the early 19th century. Coffey had moved to Newfoundland from County Waterford, Ireland to work at Placentia's Saunders and Sweetman firm. Sweetman's firm had sent some of their employees outward from Placentia to start farms in which to supply Sweetman's with produce. Coffey became the first resident of this community.
Dragon Bay is a natural bay in Newfoundland, Canada. Indrafts include Mooring Cove, Willis Cove, Tickle Cove, and Crew Cove. Dragon bay runs in a westerly direction for more than 3 miles (4.8 km) from the entrance to Facheux Bay. It is narrow and deep throughout, with no anchorage. The south point of the entrance to this bay is Red Rock, the north point is Gray Rock, which has a cave. Little Hole lies 0.75 miles (1.21 km) west of Dragon Bay, and has shelter for small vessels.
