Alleys to Valleys is the debut album from Australian hip-hop artists Hermitude. It was released on 25 August 2003. [3]

The album features Ozi Batla and Urthboy from The Herd and Joelistics from TZU on the title track "Alley to Valleys". [4] John Stuart, Elgusto's dad, features under the alias Mango Chutney on "Splendid Isolation" and "Damn Man", whilst Aja Stuart, Elgusto's sister, plays keys on "Drunken Dub".

Alleys to Valleys was recorded and mixed by Hermitude and John Stuart at Sound Heaven Studios in Wentworth Falls. [5]

The first single released was "Cave Styles", with the video, which was created by Broken Yellow Productions (Broken Yellow Productions is a film production duo of Brendon Doyle and Navid Bahadori), [6] receiving airplay on rage [7] and Channel V.

Kenneth Spencer Sabir, is an Australian musician, computer programmer, record label founder and event organiser. In 1998 Sabir co-founded an independent record label, Elefant Traks. In 2001, with his fellow label owners, he was an original member of hip-hop band, The Herd and is their producer. As of August 2011, The Herd have released five studio albums including Summerland (2008) which peaked at No. 7 on the ARIA Albums Chart and Future Shade (2011) which reached the top 30.

Elefant Traks is a record label based in Sydney, Australia, that predominantly releases Australian hip hop music. The label is distributed in Australia by Inertia Distribution.

Urthboy

Tim Levinson, better known by the stage name Urthboy, is an Australian hip-hop MC and producer from New South Wales. He is widely known for his solo music under the moniker Urthboy, as a founding member of the hip-hop group The Herd, and for co-founding and managing the Elefant Traks record label. Levinson has released five solo albums: Distant Sense of Random Menace (2004), The Signal (2007), Spitshine (2009), Smokey's Haunt (2012) and The Past Beats Inside Me Like a Second Heartbeat (2016); as well as five studio albums with The Herd.

Distant Sense of Random Menace is the debut album from Australian hip-hop artist Urthboy. It was released on 9 August 2004. The album was features the production of Elgusto (Hermitude), Count Bounce (TZU) and The Herd. An extended 12” vinyl was also released featuring an exclusive remix by Hermitude. The album was mastered in Los Angeles by Dave Cooley.

Mista Savona

Mista Savona is a highly regarded reggae, dancehall and hip-hop producer and keyboardist based in Melbourne, Australia. He first gained international recognition with the release of his third self-produced album Melbourne Meets Kingston, released by Elefant Traks in 2007. This 21-track album was recorded in Jamaica and Australia between 2004 and 2007, and is the first ever album length collaboration between Australian and Jamaican musicians. It features performances from Jamaican singers and deejays such as Anthony B, Determine and Big Youth. It was followed in 2011 with the international release of his fourth studio album "Warn The Nation", recorded in the UK, Jamaica, Australia and Africa. It features internationally renowned artists such as Capleton, Sizzla, Horace Andy, Alton Ellis, Burro Banton and more. The album received widespread critical acclaim, including Triple J describing it as “Australia’s definitive reggae album”. He is also the first Australian producer to release his own riddim series in Jamaica, the successful 'Fire Dragon' riddim released in 2009 which features artists such as Sizzla, Burro Banton and Vida-Sunshyne.
