A member of the Naismith Hall of Fame, she had more than 700 career wins. She also coached the U.S. women's basketball team to an Olympic gold medal in 1988 despite having been diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987. In 2000, Yow was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. In 2009, she was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame.

Kimberly Duane Mulkey is the head women's basketball coach at Baylor University. She is the first person in NCAA women's basketball history to win a national championship as a player, assistant coach, and head coach. She is also only the third NCAA women's basketball coach ever to win three national championships. Mulkey was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000.

Ann "Muffet" McGraw is an American former college basketball coach, who served as the head women's basketball coach at Notre Dame from 1987 to 2020, compiling a 905–272 (.769) record over 32 seasons. She led her team to nine Final Fours, seven championship game appearances, and two National Championships in 2001 and 2018.

Before taking over at Hartford she served as assistant and associate head coach at Virginia. In her second season at Hartford she led the Hawks to the America East Championship game falling to Maine 74-65.
Kathy Shields is a Canadian basketball coach. She coached the University of Victoria women’s basketball team and the 1984 Summer Olympics as an assistant coach. She is married to Ken Shields.
