The Microphones were an American indie folk, indie rock, and experimental project from Olympia, Washington. The project was founded in 1996 and ended in 2003, with a short reunion following in 2007 and revivals in 2019 and 2020. Across every iteration of the Microphones, it has been fronted by Phil Elverum. Elverum is the principal songwriter and producer behind the band's albums, but he has also collaborated with other local musicians on his other recordings and tours. Many of Elverum's recordings from the project's initial period were released by the label K Records.
Voulez-Vous is the sixth studio album by the Swedish supergroup ABBA. Released on 23 April 1979, the album yielded five hits, all of them big 1979 singles in Britain – "Chiquitita", "Does Your Mother Know", "I Have a Dream" and the double A-side "Voulez-Vous"/"Angeleyes". The title track showed the group embracing disco music, which at the time was at its peak. The album topped the charts in a number of countries and ranked among Britain's five best-selling albums of the year.
"Lady Marmalade" is a song written by Bob Crewe and Kenny Nolan, originally for Nolan's disco group. The song is famous for the repeated refrain of "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?" in French as part of the chorus, a sexually suggestive line that translates into English as: "Do you want to sleep with me?" The song first became a popular hit when it was recorded in 1974 by the American funk rock group Labelle and held the number-one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for one week, and also topped the Canadian RPM national singles chart. In 2021, the Library of Congress selected Labelle's version for preservation in the National Recording Registry for being "culturally, historically, or artistically significant".
Greatest Hits Vol. 2 is a compilation album by Swedish pop group ABBA, released on 29 October 1979 to coincide with their tour of North America and Europe. It was ABBA's second chart-topping album of the year, the first being Voulez-Vous, and contained the brand new single "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! ", recorded in August 1979.

The song peaked at number six on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. The song was included on Pearl Jam's 2004 greatest hits album, rearviewmirror .

"Comme j'ai mal" is a 1996 song recorded by French singer-songwriter Mylène Farmer. Fourth single from her fourth album Anamorphosée, it was released on 1 July 1996. It was a relative failure: indeed, it failed to reach the top ten in France and was the least-selling single from the album.
"Il me dit que je suis belle" is a 1993 song recorded by the French singer Patricia Kaas. It was her second single from her third studio album, Je te dis vous, on which it features as fifth track, and her 12th single overall. Released in July 1993, it was a top five hit in France, becoming Kaas' most successful single in terms of time on the chart and peak position. It remains one of her most popular songs.

Ferris Wheel on Fire is the second EP by the American indie rock band Neutral Milk Hotel, released as part of their Walking Wall of Words vinyl box set. Though not released until December 12, 2011, all the songs were written between 1992 and 1995. Ferris Wheel on Fire includes five songs that up to that point had never been officially released, two songs originally released on the band's official debut album On Avery Island that were reworked and re-recorded, and one alternative version of a song that was released as the B-side of the "Holland, 1945" single ("Engine"), an outtake from the In the Aeroplane Over the Sea sessions. The EP – together with the "You've Passed/Where You'll Find Me Now" and "Little Birds" singles – marked the first new Neutral Milk Hotel release since 1998. The EP was made available for sale as a digital download from the band's official website in 2019. On February 24, 2023, the EP was released on various streaming services.

It was the third single from her ninth studio album, Monkey Me, and was released on radio on 30 August 2013, then physically on 7 October of the same year. A music video composed of graphics was available on the web four days earlier. The song was generally well received by critics and the singer's fans who considered it one of the best tracks of the album. In France, it peaked at number three on the week of the release of the physical formats.

Lemongrass is a German music project and record label created by DJ and producer Roland Voss in 1996 and known for music that mixes electronic music, EDM, downtempo, drum-n-bass, lounge, jazz, soul, trip-hop, Chillout, world music, meditation music, deep ambient, New Age and other influences. Roland Voss and his brother Daniel formed the Lemongrass music label in 2005, they have some side projects named Jasmon, Five Seasons and Weathertunes.
