Tommy Seebach, born Tommy Seebach Mortensen in Copenhagen, Denmark, was a popular Danish singer, composer, organist, pianist and producer. Annes Jul is a 2006 studio album released by Danish singer Anne Gadegaard. The title means "Anne's Christmas", and the album is a collection of Christmas themed songs. The album consists of ten songs, four of which were released as singles: "Peek-A-Boo", "Glædelig Jul Til Dig Fra Mig", "Når Det Bli'r Midnat" and "Tid Til Du Skal Tilgi". The album was later rereleased with "Gi Mig Alt", "Kukkelu" and "Min Veninde" added as bonus tracks. In 2008, plans to release another album were cancelled, leaving Annes Jul the last Anne Gadegaard studio album to date.

Anis Basim Moujahid, better known as Basim, is a Danish pop singer and songwriter. He is of Moroccan origin, but lives in Høje Gladsaxe, a large housing project on the outskirts of Copenhagen. He has released two albums, Alt det jeg ville have sagt in 2008 and Befri dig selv in 2009. Basim represented Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 on home ground in Copenhagen, Denmark with the song "Cliche Love Song". The following year he was the Danish spokesperson at Eurovision.
