Alvyn Antonio Sanches (born 12 February 2003) is a professional footballer who plays as a Forward for Swiss Super League club BSC Young Boys. Born in France, he represents the Switzerland national team.
Sanches is a youth product of the academies of Lausanne Benfica and Lausanne-Sport. [1] He signed his first contract with Lausanne-Sport on 13 November 2020. [2] He made his professional debut with Lausanne-Sport in a 5–0 Swiss Super League loss to FC St. Gallen on 15 May 2021. [3]
On 1 September 2025, his shock transfer to Swiss Super League giants Young Boys was announced. [4] With a reported transfer sum over SFr 5 million, he becomes the clubs record transfer. [5]
Sanches was born in Créteil, France and is of Cape Verdean descent. He was raised in Switzerland. [6] He is a youth international for Switzerland, having played up to the Switzerland under-21s. [7]
He received his first senior international call-up on 12 March 2025. [8] On 21 March 2025, he made his debut for Switzerland in a friendly against Northern Ireland, but suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear in the final minutes of the game. [9]
