Alwaleed Philanthropies (formerly "The Al Waleed bin Talal Foundation") is a charitable and philanthropic organization founded by Al-Waleed bin Talal. [3] [4] [5] The foundation has established centers and programs in higher education institutions around the world. [6] In 2016, Lamia bint Majed Al Saud was appointed Secretary General. [7] [8]

Ameera bint Aidan bin Nayef al-Taweel al-Otaibi is a Saudi Arabian philanthropist and ex-princess. Born into the Tribe of Otaibah, she became affiliated with the House of Saud after marrying al-Waleed bin Talal al-Saud in 2008. She was the vice chairwoman of the al-Waleed bin Talal Foundation, a charity in Saudi Arabia, for the duration of her royal marriage, which ended in a divorce in 2013. Ameera is currently a member of the board of trustees at Silatech, a youth employment organization in Qatar. She has been a long-standing advocate for Saudi women's rights.

Al-Arab was a short-lived Arabic-language news channel which vowed to practice objective journalism. It was launched on 1 February 2015 and almost immediately shut down. The channel was owned by Saudi prince and entrepreneur Al-Waleed bin Talal, and was based in Manama, Bahrain.

Mansour bin Muqrin Al Saud was a Saudi businessman, member of the House of Saud, and advisor at the Court of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. In April 2015, he was appointed advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques with the rank of minister. He was the son of Prince Muqrin, former Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. He was killed in mysterious circumstances when his helicopter crashed on 5 November 2017, hours after a major purge of the kingdom's political and business leadership.
