Juha Grigori Amadeus Lundberg (born 29 March 1989), better known as Amadeus, is a Finnish singer. He became famous after winning the Tangomarkkinat tango contest in 2009.

As the Tangomarkkinat winner, Amadeus was invited to Euroviisut 2010 song contest, the Finnish qualification for Eurovision Song Contest 2010, with the song "Anastasia". He qualified for the final on 30 January, but he failed to reach the Super Final.

Amadeus released his debut album on 27 January 2010. The album, simply called Amadeus, featured his first single "Matador", his Tangomarkkinat winning entry "Onnemme kyyneleet" and of course his Euroviisut entry "Anastasia".

Lundberg's father Taisto Lundberg is a member of a well-known band Hortto Kaalo. His aunt is singer Anneli Sari, and his grandfather vuorineuvos Juhani Pesonen. [1]

The Eurovision Song Contest 2007 was the 52nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Helsinki, Finland, following the country's victory at the 2006 contest with the song "Hard Rock Hallelujah" by Lordi. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Yleisradio (Yle), the contest was held at the Hartwall Areena, and consisted of a semi-final on 10 May, and a final on 12 May 2007. The two live shows were presented by Finnish television presenter Jaana Pelkonen and musician and TV-host Mikko Leppilampi. In addition, Krisse Salminen acted as guest host in the green room, and reported from the crowds at the Senate Square.

For the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, Finland will be acting as host of the Eurovision contest for the first time, after Lordi won in 2006. They were represented by Hanna Pakarinen with the song "Leave Me Alone". The song was composed by Martti Vuorinen and Miikka Huttunen, with lyrics by Martti Vuorinen and Pakarinen.

Finland was present at the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Tallinn, Estonia, after being relegated from the 2001 contest.

Finland entered the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 after hosting the 2007 contest in Helsinki. To select their entry for the contest, Yleisradio Oy (Yle) held a national selection, Euroviisut 2008. The winner was Teräsbetoni with the song "Missä miehet ratsastaa", composed by band member Jarkko Ahola.

Finland was represented by Jari Sillanpää in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with the song "Takes 2 to Tango". Finland placed 14th with 51 points in the semi-final and so did not qualify for the final.

Waldo's People is a Finnish Eurodance band. The lead singer of the band is Waldo, whose real name is Marko Reijonen. They represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, with the song "Lose Control". It won a place for the Eurovision final on May 16 as the jury's chosen act. They finished in last place out of 25 entries with 22 points.

France participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Allez Ola Olé" written by Hugues Ducamin and Jacques Ballue. The song was performed by Jessy Matador. The French broadcaster France Télévisions in collaboration with the television channel France 3 internally selected the French entry for the 2010 contest in Oslo, Norway. Jessy Matador was officially announced by France 3 as the French entrant on 19 February 2010 and later the song was presented to the public as the contest entry on 20 March 2010.

Finland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany and selected their entry through Euroviisut 2011, organised by Finnish broadcaster Yleisradio (Yle). The final was broadcast Full HD 1080p via the Yle HD channel.

Finland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Blackbird" written and performed by Lasse Piirainen and Leena Tirronen under the name Norma John. The Finnish broadcaster Yleisradio (Yle) organised the national final Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2017 in order to select the Finnish entry for the 2017 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. Ten entries were selected to compete in the national final on 28 January 2017 where the 50/50 combination of votes from ten international jury groups and votes from the public selected "Blackbird" performed by Norma John as the winner.

Finland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song "Monsters" written by Saara Aalto, Joy Deb, Linnea Deb and Ki Fitzgerald. The song was performed by Saara Aalto, who was internally selected by the Finnish broadcaster Yleisradio (Yle) in November 2017 to represent the nation at the 2018 contest in Lisbon, Portugal. The national final Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2018 was organised in order to select the song that Aalto would perform. Three songs were selected to compete in the national final on 3 March 2018 where the 50/50 combination of votes from eight international jury groups and votes from the public selected "Monsters" as the winning song.

Aksel Kankaanranta is a Finnish singer. He was due to represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam with the song "Looking Back", before the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2017, he finished second in The Voice of Finland. He was born in Turku.
