Amanda Cottreau is a Canadian folk singer-songwriter based in Ottawa, Ontario. [1] [2] [3] She is a member of Songwriters Association of Canada, [4] and made it to round 2 of CBC searchlight contest 2015 with Lady Lover and featured vocalist on a second song, Little Bird. [5]

Career

Cottreau begun her musical career as a lead background vocals in a worship band from 1998-2003 which was based in Kingston, Ontario. [6] Later, she worked with Ryan Potter, an Ottawa-based musician and producer. [4] [7] In November 2010, she released her first solo album Universe in a Soft Shell. [8] In 2012, one of the tracks Couldn't Wait from the album Universe in a Soft Shell was featured on TV series Degrassi: The Next Generation. [9] [10]

Cottreau has performed over a hundred shows between Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia along with Lucila Al Mar, JustJamaal & Raymundo Pizana. [11] [12] [13] [14]

<i>Degrassi Junior High</i> 1987 Canadian teen drama television series

Degrassi Junior High is a Canadian television series created by Kit Hood and Linda Schuyler. The second series in the Degrassi franchise and the first to be set in a universe that has spanned multiple decades, it aired on the CBC from 18 January 1987 to 27 February 1989, and on PBS in the United States starting from September 1987. A non-union show, it was primarily produced by Playing With Time with involvement from WGBH. Zoo Legacy is a hip-hop/indie-rock band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Formed in 2010, the band consists of brothers Samuel and Dominic Goss (guitars). After successfully recording a demo of material, the brothers enlisted the talents of friend and local rapper Nicholas Pouponneau in the summer of 2010, who began rapping verses over the instrumental tracks they had previously written. They obtained their name by combining the previous stage name of Pouponneau and a neighborhood park the Goss brothers spent time in visiting family in South Africa.
