Amanecer (English: Daybreak) is a 2009 short film written and directed by Alvaro D. Ruiz, produced by Ulysses Oliver and Luci Temple of Marshmallow Productions. [1] It is a Spanish-language drama set in Sydney, Australia.

Amanecer was one of four projects competitively selected for the 2008 Multicultural Mentorship Scheme, a Metro Screen and NSWFTO joint initiative. [2] Australian actor and producer Claudia Karvan was the project’s mentor. [3]

Synopsis

A young South American man struggles to build a new life for his wife and children in Australia. But, in this foreign land, his education and experience doesn’t seem to count. Dreams turn to lies. Lies become reality. Does he have the will to see the light of Amanecer?

The Dungog Film Festival was an annual event held in the Hunter Region town of Dungog. The Dungog Film Festival was a not-for-profit arts organization that was dedicated to celebrating and promoting the Australian screen industry. The festival provided education of the Australian film and TV industry through a range of initiatives. Some proceeds of the festival have gone towards preserving the James Theatre. <i>La tragedia del silencio</i> 1924 film

La tragedia del silencio is a Colombian silent melodrama film directed by Arturo Acevedo Vallarino and first screened on 18 July 1924 at the Faenza theatre in Bogotá. Filmed in black and white, it tells the story of a man suffering from leprosy. It was the first Colombian film during the silent film era with a film score, which was performed during the projection and was written by Alberto Urdaneta Forero.

Winning numerous awards, her work is part of the collection of the Latin American Film Archive at the MOMA in Manhattan.

Alfredo Hueck is a Venezuelan film producer, editor, writer and director. He is known for his professional debut, [YBI-173], and 2015 film Package #3, both award-winning. He also worked on other films in the 2010s, notably with his brother, director Luis.
