Amar MP is a voluntary social organization, which was established on 14 February 2017. The organization has been formed to connect Members of Parliament with the voters of Bangladesh to ensure accountability, transparency and neutrality among MPs. The organization has won several international awards, including "the Best Regional Enterprise". On 20 December 2017, Europe Business Enggel (EABA) nominated AmarMP as "Best Regional Enterprise" from the United Nations. This organization also received the mBillionth Award by India's Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF). [4]

History

Amar MP was established and registered on 14 February 2017 with the aim to bring accountability among the Jatiya Sangsad members. Amar MP was officially launched on 16 January 2018 by Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Junaid Ahmed Palak. [5] Abu Zahir Chowdhury MP (Habiganj-3) gave the first answer by AmarMP platform. [6] The first answer by video was given by MP Moin Uddin Khan Badal by Video. He is the lawmaker from Chittagong-8 constituency. [7] AmarMP.com has received the Bangladesh Parliament's recognition of offering No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the excellent work done by the organisation on 26 September 2017. [8] [9] Prime Minister's Information and Technology Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy congratulated the Bangladeshi voluntary organization 'AmarMP' for achieving the mBillionth Award in 2017. [10]

Activities

Amar MP organised a series of talk shows at the Channel 24, Bangladesh before the 11th Parliamentary Election of Bangladesh. It created huge wave at Bangladesh politics. Amar MP is very vocal at raising voice when it sees any corruption at any sector in Bangladesh. Amar MP won the mBillionth Award by Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF)on 4 August 2017. [11] Prime Minister's Information and Technology Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy congratulated Amar MP on receiving mBillionth Award. [10] Amar MP organized a human chain at Sylhet on 19 February 2019 protesting an alleged corruption by Ariful Haque Chowdhury, the Mayor of Sylhet City Corporation and a BNP executive. [12] [13] AmarMP hosted an International seminar regularly at the UK House of Parliament in London on 13 June 2018. The seminar was about Secularism: Hope for Unity, Peace and Justice. [14] amarMP research showed that the most of the Members of Parliament in Bangladesh are not vocal at social media. They are afraid of facing their constituents at media. It was the situation before two years; still it continue. [15] [16]

Sadat Hossain is a Bangladeshi author, poet, screenwriter, film-maker and novelist. He described himself as a storyteller.He is one of the most popular contemporary writers among Bengali readers.

Ustad Niaz Mohammad Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi classical and modern singer.

Mohammad Asaduzzaman was a Bangladeshi politician who has elected four times as a Jatiya Sangsad member. His son Saifuzzaman Shikhor is the incumbent MP of Magura-1 constituency and her daughter Kamrul Laila Jolly was also a former member from the women's reserved seat.

Rushema Begum was a Bangladeshi teacher and politician who was elected as Member of 11th Jatiya Sangsad of Reserved Seats for Women. She was a politician of Bangladesh Awami League.

Shahriaz is a Bangladeshi actor and model. He acted in Pagla Diwana in (2015) opposite Pori Moni and in Nagar Mastan in (2015) with Pori Moni. Bongo BD Bangladeshi media company

Bongo is a Bangladeshi startup company, which is the first and biggest streaming video-on-demand service in Bangladesh. Basically, it's known for the digital version and published latest content to the viewers. Bongo was founded in 2013. The company also launched cricket website and android app for the cricket fans.

Iqbal Hossain was a Bangladeshi freedom fighter and politician from Munshiganj. He was a member of Jatiya Sangsad representing the Munshiganj-2 constituency during 1988–1990.

Gohiner Gaan is a 2019 Bangladeshi musical film. The film written and directed by Sadat Hossain and produced by Enamul Haque under the banner of Bangladhol. The film stars Asif Akbar and Toma Mirza played lead roles and Syed Hasan Imam, Tanzika Amin, Aman Reza and Quazi Asif Rahman played supporting roles in the film. It is the first feature musical film of Bangladesh.

Idris Haider Bangladeshi television and film director (born 1964)

Idris Haider is a Bangladeshi film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor. He is playing role as an advisor of Asian TV. From his early career in Television industry he is famous for making Drama Series."Syed Barir Bou" was the first and most popular drama serial which was aired on ATN Bangla. Bangladeshi Actress Pori Moni made her first debut on "Second Innings" Drama Serial which was Directed by Idris Haider. He is the chairman of record label company Wow Play TV. His recent film "Nil Foring" is awaited to be released on 2021 which is delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic. As he announced in media he is going to make another film "Amar Shonar Bangla, Ami Tomay Valobashi."

Suchinta Foundation is a Bangladeshi non-profit think tank and research centre. Mohammad A. Arafat is the chairperson of the foundation. Arafat is a teacher of Management at the Canadian University of Bangladesh. Rubel Ahsan is the vice-chairperson of the foundation. Tarik Hasan is the treasurer of the foundation.

Shamsun Nahar is a politician of the Bangladesh Awami League. She was elected at the 11th Jatiya Sangsad of Bangladesh at the reserved seat category for women at seat-13.

Nexus Television is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable infotainment television channel owned by S. Alam Group of Industries. It was launched on 30 July 2021 as the country's first non-fiction infotainment television channel. Unlike other television channels in Bangladesh, the channel does not air drama, movies, and news programming.
