Amare Adams (born October 18, 2006) is an American football defensive tackle for the Clemson Tigers.
Adams attended South Florence High School in Florence, South Carolina. [1] As a senior in 2024, he was named the Morning News Player of the Year after recording 75 tackles and six sacks. [2] Adams was selected to play in the 2025 Navy All-American Bowl, where he was named the Anthony Muñoz Award winner. [3] [4] A five-star recruit, he committed to Clemson University to play college football. [5] [6] [7] Adams also played basketball in high school. [8]
Adams enrolled at Clemson in January 2025.
Keith A. Adams is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns. He also was a member of the Berlin Thunder in NFL Europe. He played college football for the Clemson Tigers, earning consensus All-American honors.
Gaines Adams was an American professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for three seasons. He played college football for Clemson University, and was recognized as a unanimous All-American. He was drafted in the first round of the 2007 NFL draft, and played professionally for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears of the NFL. Adams died unexpectedly in 2010 from a previously undetected heart condition.

The Tigers were led by head coach Danny Ford and played their home games in Memorial Stadium. Clemson finished their undefeated 1981 season with a 22–15 victory over the #4 Nebraska Cornhuskers in the 1982 Orange Bowl, and were voted #1 in the Associated Press (AP) and United Press International (UPI) polls.

The 2009 Clemson Tigers football team represented Clemson University in the 2009 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Tigers were led by head coach Dabo Swinney, who was in his first full season as head coach. The Tigers played their home games in Memorial Stadium. The Tigers won the ACC Atlantic Division, but after securing the title lost to in–state rival South Carolina in the Palmetto Bowl 34–17, before losing for the second time in the season to Georgia Tech in the ACC Championship Game. Clemson closed the season with a win over Kentucky in the Music City Bowl.
Robert Chukwudumebi Nkemdiche is an American professional football defensive tackle. He most recently played for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He attended the University of Mississippi for three years until declaring early for the 2016 NFL draft where he was picked 29th overall by the Arizona Cardinals. He played for the Cardinals for three years from 2016 to 2018, the Miami Dolphins in 2019, and the Seattle Seahawks in 2021.

From 2019–2021, he played cornerback for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). In 2022, he joined his former Clemson defensive coordinator and current Oklahoma head football coach Brent Venables' inaugural Sooners coaching staff as a defensive graduate assistant.
