Amber Dalton is an American professional esports player and co-founder of PMS Clan Inc. She used the handle Athena Twin.

Dalton is from San Antonio, Texas.

Career

Dalton was a pro gamer (under the alias "Athena Twin"), in 2007 she was ranked in the top 10 players of Fight Night. [1] In 2002, with her twin sister, Amy Brady, Dalton co-founded PMS Clan Inc., one of the oldest and largest competitive gaming communities for women. It was once the largest clan for the Xbox Live platform. [2] [3] [4] [5] In the present day, it has 57,588 unique members.

Topics in the PMS Clan forum include: Tech talk, clan pages for various games, and sub-subsections for PC, PlayStation and the Xbox for discussing various games. She has been the main face of the clan; in 2005, MTV had her demonstrate the Xbox 360 console, [6] and Next Generation Business named her one of the "Game Industry's 100 Most Influential Women" for the organization's work at dispelling stereotypes about women in gaming and creating a safe space for female gamers. Dalton left a job in finance to concentrate on pro gaming and to run PMS Clan, which she self-funded until she attracted sponsorship and incorporated. [1] [2] Since 2011, she has worked at Twitch, where she is director of Marketing Events. [8] [9] Dalton handed over the management of PMS Clan to Regina Wu in 2013. [10] [8]

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is a science fiction first-person action video game for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Mac OS X. The game is a sequel to The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, which was remade and included along with the Assault on Dark Athena campaign. The game was released on April 7, 2009. In 2015, Asterisk* was relaunched in as an Events and Talent Management and Consultancy for gaming related projects.

The live streaming of video games is an activity where people broadcast themselves playing games to a live audience online. The practice became popular in the mid-2010s on the US-based site Twitch, before growing to YouTube, Facebook, China-based sites Huya Live, DouYu, and Bilibili, and other services. By 2014, Twitch streams had more traffic than HBO's online streaming service, HBO Go. Professional streamers often combine high-level play and entertaining commentary, and earn income from sponsors, subscriptions, ad revenue, and donations.

Richard Tyler Blevins, better known as Ninja, is an American Twitch streamer, YouTuber and professional gamer. Blevins began streaming through participating in several esports teams in competitive play for Halo 3, and gradually picked up fame when he first started playing Fortnite Battle Royale in late 2017. Blevins's rise among mainstream media began in March 2018 when he played Fortnite together with Drake, Travis Scott and JuJu Smith-Schuster on stream, breaking a peak viewer count record on Twitch. Blevins has over 18 million followers on his Twitch channel, making it the most-followed Twitch channel as of September 2022.

U.S. Army Esports is an esports team sponsored by the United States Army. The team, which consists of active duty and reserve personnel, was announced in November 2018 as a public outreach initiative operating within the Fort Knox, Kentucky-based Army Marketing and Engagement Team. Games in which the team announced it would compete include Call of Duty, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite, League of Legends, Overwatch and Magic the Gathering.

<i>Among Us</i> 2018 video game

Among Us is a 2018 online multiplayer social deduction game developed and published by American game studio Innersloth. The game was inspired by the party game Mafia and the science fiction horror film The Thing. The game allows for cross-platform play, first released on iOS and Android devices in June 2018 and on Windows later that year in November. The game was then ported to the Nintendo Switch in December 2020 and on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in December 2021. While the game was initially released in 2018 to little mainstream attention, it received a massive influx of popularity in 2020 due to many well-known Twitch streamers and YouTubers playing it. A separate VR version of the game, Among Us VR, was released in November 2022.
