The American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI) is a professional organization representing the business and artistic interests of architectural illustrators throughout North America and around the world. [1] ASAI's principal mandate is to foster of communication and networking among its members, raise the standards of architectural drawing, and bring awareness to the general public of this type of work and the value of their drawings as a conceptual and representational tool in architecture. [2]

Architecture in Perspective

Architecture In Perspective (AIP) is an international architectural competition that architectural representations for publications and exhibition. [4] Architecture In Perspective is launched each year at the ASAI's annual convention. [5] The Society's highest award, the Hugh Ferriss Memorial Prize is awarded each year in recognition of excellence in the graphic representation of architecture.

Affiliations and advocacy

The ASAI has worked to establish an international network of delineators throughout the US, Canada, England, Europe, Japan, Australia, Korea, and other countries. Membership with the ASAI brings official affiliations with: [6]

In 2007, The American Society of Illustrators Partnership (ASIP) was established, with ASAI as one of the six founding organizations. The primary stated purpose of the ASIP was to educate its members and others regarding the rights of illustrators to receive royalties and licensing fees for the use of their work. The Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting behavior analysis. The organization has over 9,000 members. The group organizes conferences and publishes journals on the topic of applied behavior analysis (ABA). ABAI has issued detailed, specific position papers intended to guide practitioners of ABA. The ABAI publishes six scholarly journals including The Psychological Record and their primary organ, Perspectives on Behavior Science, formerly The Behavior Analyst. They also publish an informational journal, Education and Treatment of Children, describing practical treatment of children with behavioral problems.

The Society of Architectural Illustrators (SAI) was founded in the United Kingdom by Eric Monk in 1975 to encourage the use of the architectural perspective or model as a valuable part of the communication process between architect and the general public. It changed its name to the Society of Architectural and Industrial Illustrators in the 1980s in a bid to increase membership. This did not work and the name was finally changed, after a protracted debate, to the Society of Architectural Illustration in the 1990s. This last name change was at the behest of the Charities Commission which insisted that the Society exists for the benefit of the art and not the artist. In 2019 the Society relinquished its charity status and reverted to its original name.

The American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP) is a society of biomedical scientists who investigate mechanisms of disease. ASIP membership includes scientists in the academic, government, hospital, and pharmaceutical arenas that focus their research on the pathogenesis, classification, diagnosis and manifestations of disease. Sergei Tchoban is a German Architect and artist working in various cities in Europe. He is managing director of the architectural firm TCHOBAN VOSS Architekten and founder of the Tchoban Foundation, which has been based in the Museum for Architectural Drawing in Berlin, built for this purpose, since 2013. He is a member of the Association of German Architects (BDA) and the architectural associations in Hamburg and Berlin. Tchoban is the recipient of architectural awards and a participant in various architectural exhibitions.

FORREC Ltd. designs and plans theme parks, water parks, resorts, retail and mixed use developments and visitor attractions around the world. FORREC's clients include Universal Studios, LEGOLAND, Nickelodeon, BBC Worldwide and Six Flags as well as international companies like China's Wanda Group and Chimelong Group, Dubai Holdings, Dubai Parks & Resorts, Meraas Leisure and Entertainment LLC, Singapore Tourism Board and Khazanah Nasional Berhad. FORREC began as a landscape architecture firm in Canada in 1984 and has since added architecture, interior design and graphics disciplines.
