Amerisleep is an American memory foam mattress and bedding company based in Scottsdale, Arizona. [1] The company was founded in 2010 [2] [3] and it has retail locations in Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Oregon, Houston [4] [5] and three stores in South Korea. [3]

Amerisleep was founded in 2010 in Arizona by Firas Kittaneh, Mo Kittaneh, and Joe Holt. [6] [7] [8]

In 2017, the company rebranded and opened its first store in Arizona. [8] [9] Amerisleep registered their business in London, United Kingdom. [10]

In 2019, it announced plans to expand to Houston with three retail stores. [5]

The company started distributing Amerisleep franchises in 2023. [11]

Products

Amerisleep sells memory foam mattresses, [12] bedding, bed frames, pillows, and adjustable bases made from low-VOC materials. Amerisleep manufactures 5 mattress styles, offers a 100-night in-home trial and 20 years warranty for the all mattresses. [2] [13] Amerisleep manufactures all its BioPur mattresses in Indiana. Memory foam consists mainly of polyurethane with additional chemicals that increase its viscosity and density. The foam bubbles or ‘cells’ are open, effectively creating a matrix through which air can move. Higher-density memory foam softens in reaction to body heat, allowing it to mold to a warm body in a few minutes. Newer foams may recover their original shape more quickly.

The Simmons Bedding Company is an American major manufacturer of mattresses and related bedding products, based in Atlanta, Georgia. The company was founded in 1870. Simmons' flagship brand is Beautyrest. In addition to operating 18 manufacturing facilities in the United States and Puerto Rico, the company licenses its products internationally. According to a Simmons press release, net sales for 2005 were $855 million, and its revenue was $1.13 billion in 2007 and $1.228 billion in 2013. In 2011, Simmons ranked in third place among U.S. mattress manufacturers, with a 15.7 percent market share. Spring Air Company is a mattress company based in the United States. It was founded in Chicago in 1926 when Francis Karr patented a mattress design with free-end coils. Because of the heavy weight, high transportation costs, and low value per unit weight of mattresses, they are often manufactured locally. The company is thus a licensing organization, with local licensees manufacturing the mattresses under a common name for national marketing. Like a cooperative, the licensees own the Spring Air name. Spring Air has factories across the world.

Kahala Brands is a wholly owned subsidiary of Canada-based MTY Food Group Inc. of Montreal, Quebec. Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Kahala is one of North America's largest holding company of franchise fast food restaurant companies. In May 2016, the publicly traded Canadian MTY Food Group announced a friendly takeover deal with the Kahala Brands. MTY agreed to pay about US$300 million to acquire Kahala.
