Hajji Amir Khan Sabri was elected to represent Khost Province in Afghanistan's Wolesi Jirga, the lower house of its National Legislature, in 2005. [1] A report on Khost prepared at the Navy Postgraduate School stated that he was a member of the Pashtun ethnic group. It stated he had a ninth grade education. It stated he was "associated with Hezbi Islami. It stated he sat on the Legislatures Communications Committee.

Hajji title of honor

Hajji (الحجّي) is a title which is originally given to a Muslim person who has successfully completed the Hajj to Mecca. It is also often used to refer to an elder, since it can take time to accumulate the wealth to fund the travel, and in many Muslim societies as an honorific title for a respected man. The title is placed before a person's name; for example Joshua Omo becomes Hajji Joshua Omo.

Khost is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan, located in the eastern part of the country. To the east, Khost Province is bordered by Waziristan and Kurram in Pakistan.
