Amisha Sethi is an Indian author, philanthropist, business leader, actress and a model. [1] She was crowned the winner of Haut Monde Mrs. India Worldwide 2021. [2] Her novel, It Doesn't Hurt To Be Nice, [3] was published by Shristi Publishers in 2015. [4] She acted in the 2022 short film Dronacharya released on Disney+Hotstar and MX Player. [5] [6]

She won the title of Mrs. Glamorous 2019, Bengaluru, and is crowned Haut Monde Mrs. India Worldwide 2021. [7] [1] [8] [9]

Education

Sethi pursued a bachelor's degree in Science from University of Delhi and a Masters in Business Administration from Amity Business School in 2002. She is also an executive scholar in Marketing and Sales Management from Kellogg School of Management, [10] Northwestern University, USA.

Professional life

Sethi has been a Marketing and Business Leader [11] in Brand Marketing, Strategy and International Consumer Marketing. [12] She has held the position of CMO global with a start-up based in Vancouver in 2014. She was the Chief Commercial Officer [13] at AirAsia [14] in 2013 [15] [16] and the Director of Brand Marketing Asia [17] at BlackBerry. [18] She worked at BlackBerry [19] from 2006 to 2013. [20] She has also worked at Airtel from 2002 to 2006. She is the Chief Awareness Officer at Black Lotus, a meditation app and was the ex Vice President of Global Marketing at Locus Inc.

She has won number of awards and recognition [21] for her endeavours in Marketing [22] and Business in the Asia Pacific region.

Book

Sethi is the author of the book It Doesn't Hurt To Be Nice, released in September 2015. [23] and talks about rediscovering life, with comedy, drama, and spirituality. It is a story of a young girl and her hilarious, dramatic and enthralling experiences to understand the ultimate purpose of her life, which is – to be a better human with each passing day. The book has received appreciation and commendation across the country. [24]

The book has been released by Srishti Publishers [25] and was a platform to share the cause of kindness and generosity she believes in. [26]

It's a Wonderful Afterlife is a 2010 British comedy film directed by Gurinder Chadha. The screenplay centres on an Indian mother whose obsession with marrying off her daughter leads her into the realm of serial murder. It was filmed primarily in English, with some Hindi and Punjabi dialogue. The title is a reference to Chadha's personal attachment to Frank Capra's film It's a Wonderful Life. Chadha also co-produced the film, and co-wrote the screenplay with her husband and producing partner, Paul Mayeda Berges. The lead role is played by newcomer Goldy Notay, joining Shabana Azmi, Shaheen Khan, Sendhil Ramamurthy and Sally Hawkins in the cast.

The 2021 and 2022 finales happened in the UAE with participants from 21 countries. The first four seasons were hosted in India, then in Myanmar (2015), Dubai (2016), Vietnam (2017), Greece, and Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The pageant is one of the longest-running and is the pioneer in the category of Indian-married women of substance worldwide.
