Ammerstol is a village, part of the municipality of Krimpenerwaard in the Netherlands. It is located about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) southeast of Gouda, on the Lek River.

Krimpenerwaard is a municipality of the Netherlands. It is a rural area located in the east of the province of South Holland, just south of Gouda and east of the Rotterdam conurbation. It is bordered on the north by the river Hollandse IJssel, on the south by the river Lek and on the east by the stream Vlist.

Gouda is a city and municipality in the province of South Holland, Netherlands with a population of 72,338. It is famous for its Gouda cheese, stroopwafels, many grachten, smoking pipes, and its 15th-century city hall. Between 1817 and 1985, Ammerstol was an independent municipality.^[1] Until 2015, it was part of Bergambacht.

Bergambacht is a village and former municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. Since 2015 it has been a part of the municipality of Krimpenerwaard.

Ammerstol has two listed Rijksmonuments: the 17th century inventory of its Reformed Church (itself built during 1880-81), and a thatched-roof farmhouse.^[2]

A rijksmonument is a national heritage site of the Netherlands, listed by the agency Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed (RCE) acting for the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.

The Reformed Churches in the Netherlands was the second largest Protestant church in the Netherlands and one of the two major Reformed denominations along with the Dutch Reformed Church since 1892 until being merged into the Protestant Church in the Netherlands in 2004.

De Lek was a heerlijkheid (manor) and municipality in the Netherlands, located in the province South-Holland. It is named after the Lek River.

The former Protestant church of Eastermar was a church that stood in It Heechsân, Eastermar, Netherlands. It was demolished in 1868. Today only the medieval tower from the 13th century remains. The church is located far out of the center of the village on the Torenlaan 11 and is surrounded by a graveyard. Next to the tower stands a grave diggers building.

Huizum is a residential area of the municipality of Leeuwarden in the province of Friesland, Netherlands. It has approximately 9,000 inhabitants. Huizum was formerly part of Leeuwarderadeel and incorporates a former village.
