Anders Engbergs was a dansband in Skara, Sweden, [1] reestablished in 1994 when Lotta & Anders Engbergs orkester divided into two bands, Anders Engbergs and Lotta Engbergs, three years after the divorce of husband Anders Engberg and wife Lotta Engberg. Anders Engbergs had also been the name of the pre-split band prior to Lotta Engberg joining it in 1989. One of the more famous singers in its lineup up to 1988 was Stefan Borsch.

Björn Hedström, who was one of Anders Engbergs' singers, participated in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1995 with the song "Du är drömmen jag drömt". Anders Engbergs had some Svensktoppen hits, but never achieved the same level of successes as Lotta Engbergs.

Charlotte Perrelli (then known as Charlotte Nilsson) had her breakthrough while in this band, laying the foundation for her later successes in Melodifestivalen as a solo artist.

Another member was Martin Rydnemalm, who later played the guitar and saxophone in Kim & Hallo.

In 1998 the band won the contest "Dansbandslåten" with the song "När kärleken slår till".

Some of the songs on the record are performed by her as a solo artist, others together with the bands Lotta & Anders Engbergs Orkester and Lotta Engbergs. The album peaked at number 17 on the Swedish Albums Chart.

Lasse Stefanz

Lasse Stefanz is a Swedish dansband formed in Kristianstad in 1967. The band was popular during the 1980s. The band was formed by Hans Sigfridsson, Lars Sigfridsson and Olle Jönsson. Later members are Christer Ericsson, Anders Pettersson and Gunnar Nilsson. Olle Jönsson is the singer, as well as the ex-drummer. Lasse Stefanz had hits with songs as "Oh, Julie" (1982) and released albums as Peppelinos Bar (1988). 1989-1990, Lasse Stefanz and Christina Lindberg had a Svensktoppen hit with the song "De sista ljuva åren". In 1989, Lasse Stefanz was awarded a Grammis for "Dansband of the year".

Wizex Dansband from Sweden

Wizex is a Swedish dansband formed in Osby in 1973. It puchased the rights to the name from a band that started as Ulrik Wittmans Kvintett in 1957. When Ulrik Wittman left the band in 1963 they started to use the name Wizex. When read out the name sounds like "The Six of Us", "vi sex", in Swedish, and it was six persons left in the band when they changed the name. Todays band had six founders and was allowed to purchase the name, and hence use 1973 as the starting point.

Jitterbug and foxtrot music are often included in this category. The music is primarily inspired by swing, schlager, country, jazz, and rock. Arvingarna is a Swedish dansband, which was formed in 1989. At Melodifestivalen 1993, they performed the song '"Eloise", which won, allowing Arvingarna to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest in Millstreet Co.Cork in May that year, where the song finished 7th.

"En gång till", written by Christer Lundh and Mikael Wendt, is the song that Swedish dansband singer Lotta Engberg performed when it competed in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1990, where it finished 8th. In 1990, Lotta & Anders Engbergs Orkester released the single En gång till, wit the song Bara du as B-side.

Fernandoz is a Swedish dansband formed in 1986 in Vitsand, near Torsby. They had a big hit in 1991 entitled with the song "Jag vet att jag vill ha dig". The band won the "svenska dansbandsmästare" award in 1993 and they started appearing on the popular television program Bingolotto, for a number of times. Their most recognized hits include "Guld och gröna skogar", "En dag den sommaren", "När ett hjärta har älskat" Band guitarist Conny Ohlson and singer Anders Nordlund have won a Swedish Grammy "Guldklaven" for their work.

Sannex

Sannex is a dansband from Sweden. The band was formed as a school project in 1977. In the mid-1980s, it was a six-man band, which invested in a professional career. In 1987, Sannex became the backing band for Ann-Louise Hanson, and in November 1987 became a full-time dance band, after working with Ann-Louise for five weeks at Restaurant Cabaret in Stockholm. They participated in Dansbandskampen in 2009.

Helene & gänget was a dansband in Kristianstad in Sweden, founded 1990 by members of the Färmarna dansband. The band broke through in 1995 with the album Segla din båt i hamn. The band broke up in 2002 and its singer Helene Persson begun acting as SR Kristianstad programme host. Famous songs recorded by the band are Segla din båt i hamn, En korg med blommor and Nånstans så finns du.

Carina Jaarneks orkester was a dansband in the town of Ronneby, Sweden, scoring chart successes at Svensktoppen between the late 1980s and the early 2000s, with Carina Jaarnek acting as the band's singer. It was started in 1989. In 1991, the band won the first, unofficial, edition of the Swedish Dansband Championships contest. In the year 2000, the band participated in the finals of the Dansbandslåten contest with the song Minns du hur vi älskade which, however, didn't win the contest.
