History
Unlike most technical colleges in South Korea, it began its existence as a public institution, Andong Nursing High School (안동간호고등기술학교), which was founded in 1967. The school was redesignated a technical school in 1972. In 1983, it was officially taken over by a private organization, the Jangchun Educational Foundation (학교법인 장춘학원), and was known as Andong Technical College of Health and Nursing. It became a general technical college in 1992. The school took on its current name, Andong Science College, in 1998.
In the fall of 1997, the Department of Tourism English began using native English speakers to augment their English programs. The students eventually worked in the travel industry across South Korea.
At that time the department hired Brian Curneal and Christopher Brogan of Lansing, MI to teach ESL and Conversational English. Both teachers began teaching Conversational English to Elementary school teachers. Later in the spring of 1997 Mr. Curneal and Mr. Brogan began teaching the college freshmen and sophomores conversational English in earnest. They both continued teaching at Angong Junior College, the common English name for the school, until the end of the second semester (fall) of 1997. During their short tenure there they also taught conversational English to many of the school's instructors and professors.

Catholic Sangji College is a private 2-year college affiliated with the South Korean Roman Catholic church. It is located in the city center of Andong City, North Gyeongsang province, South Korea. The president is Yu Gang-ha (유강하). As a technical junior college, Catholic Sangji College emphasizes team teaching and project-based learning.
Dongnam Health University (Korean: 동남보건대학교), previously Dongnam Health College, is a South Korean technical college specializing in the health sciences. Its campus is on the north bank of the Seohocheon in Suwon, Gyeonggi province. The current president is Lee Young Kwon (이영권) and about 40 instructors are employed.
Education in South Korea is provided by both public schools and private schools. Both types of schools receive funding from the government, although the amount that the private schools receive is less than the amount of the state schools.
Hallym University (Korean: 한림대학교) is a private university located in Chuncheon, Gangwon, Republic of Korea. Hallym University was established in 1982. In 1995 it was designated by the Ministry of Education as one of a handful of universities entitled to receive the financial support of the Ministry for their specialization programs. After that, it continued to be so designated consecutively for five years. In addition, it has acquired the status of "distinguished university," the title granted by the Ministry of Education, three years in a row, and has also been selected for funding by the Brain Korea 21 Project.
Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) is a public community college in Louisville, Kentucky. It is part of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and the largest college in that system. JCTC was formed on July 1, 2005, by the consolidation of Jefferson Community College and Jefferson Technical College. Jefferson Community College was originally chartered in 1968 and Jefferson Technical College was chartered in 1953. JCTC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

University of El Imam El Mahdi is a public Sudanese university based in the town of Kosti, Sudan. The university was founded in 1994 as a public university funded by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It is named in honor of Muhammad Ahmad al-Mahdi, the leader of the Mahdist revolution which overthrew the Ottoman-Egyptian administration and established their own "Islamic and national" government in Sudan (1885–1898).
