Alfred Bouvier was a French boxer. [1] He competed in the men's lightweight event at the 1908 London Summer Olympics. [2] At the 1908 Summer Olympics, he lost to Harold Holmes of Great Britain. [2]
Water polo has been part of the Summer Olympics program since the second games, in 1900. A women's water polo tournament was introduced for the 2000 Summer Olympics. Hungary has been the most successful country in men's tournament, while the United States is the only team to win multiple times at the women's tournament since its introduction. Italy is the first and only country to win both the men's and women's water polo tournaments.
Georges Yvan "Géo" André was a French track and field athlete and rugby union player. As an athlete he competed at the 1908, 1912, 1920 and 1924 Summer Olympics in various events, including long jump, high jump, 400 m sprint, 110 and 400 m hurdles, pentathlon and decathlon. He won a silver medal in the high jump in 1908 and a bronze in the 4 × 400 m relay in 1920, finishing fourth in the 400 m hurdles in 1920 and 1924 and fifth in the standing high jump in 1908. At the 1924 Olympics he took the Olympic Oath and served as the flag bearer for the French delegation.
Charles Bouvier was a Swiss footballer and bobsledder. He won gold in the four-man bobsleigh at the 1936 Winter Olympics.
André Parmentier was a French sport shooter who competed at the 1908 Summer Olympics and at the 1920 Summer Olympics. He was born in Sauveterre de Guyenne, Gironde. In 1908 he was a member of the French team which won the bronze medal in the team free rifle competition. He also finished fourth with the French team in the team military rifle event.
