The SECA Art Award is a contemporary art award program that has been organized by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMoMA) and supported by its auxiliary SECA since 1967 to honor San Francisco Bay Area artists. Anoka Faruqee is an American painter, born in Ann Arbor, MI. In 2011 Faruquee was appointed associate professor of painting and printmaking at Yale University. She earned her BA from Yale in 1994 and an MFA from Tyler School of Art in 1997. Previous to her appointment at Yale, Faruqee taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the California Institute of the Arts, where she was Co-Director of the Art Program. Faruqee is known for her brightly colored Moiré pattern paintings.

Rebeca Bollinger is an American artist whose practice encompasses sculpture, video, photography, drawing, installation and performance. Her work employs unconventional materials and processes through which she aggregates, fragments, re-translates or juxtaposes images and objects, in order to examine the creation of meaning, information and memory. She began her art career amid cultural shifts in the 1990s, and her work of that time engages the effects of the early internet on image production and display, systems of ordering, and the construction of identity. Her later work has shifted in emphasis from images to objects, employing similar processes to give form to invisible forces, memories, ephemeral phenomena, and open-ended narratives. Bollinger has exhibited at institutions including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), de Young Museum, and Orange County Museum of Art. Her work has been recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts and belongs to the public art collections of SFMOMA, de Young Museum, and San Jose Museum of Art, among others.
Jessica Snow is an American abstract artist, curator, and professor. Her paintings and drawings are distinguished by bright, vivid colors through a visual language that employs color, shape and texture to speak in conversation with the traditions of geometric abstraction, biomorphism, and color field painting. Her inspiration is fed by research into mid-century architecture, landscape design, 20th century art history and Asian art history. She lives and works in San Francisco, California, where she teaches painting, drawing and art appreciation at the University of San Francisco. Recently she researched Classical Chinese Gardens in Jiangsu province, and her recent ‘Master of the Nets’ series is based on this research.
