Andreea Arsine (born 14 September 1988) is a Romanian race walker. She competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. [2] In 2018, she competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2018 European Athletics Championships held in Berlin, Germany. [3] She finished in 26th place. [3]

In 2021, he competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo where he finished in 8th in the men's 50 kilometres walk with a new personal best time of 3:52.01 just 113 seconds behind the eventual winner Dawid Tomala of Poland.

Ángela Melania Castro Chirivechz is a Bolivian race walker. She competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2016 Summer Olympics finishing in 18th place. It was the best result ever for Bolivia in Olympic athletics. She was the flag bearer for Bolivia during both the opening ceremony and closing ceremony.

Moldova sent a delegation to participate at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7 to 18 September 2016. This was the Eastern European's country sixth appearance in the Summer Paralympic Games since their debut twenty years prior at the 1996 Summer Paralympics. Moldova sent three athletes to these Games, shot put thrower Oxana Spataur, powerlifter Larisa Marinenkova and short-distance swimmer Alexandr Covaliov. Spataur qualified on merit and Covaliov and Marienkova were invited by the Bipartite Commission. Neither Spataur or Covaliov advanced out of the heats of their events and Marienkova finished seventh in the women's 73kg powerlifting category.
