Andrew Bracey (born 1978) is an English artist, currently based in Manchester. [1]

Early life and education

Bracey was born in Bristol, England. He studied fine art at Liverpool John Moores University, [2] and Manchester Metropolitan University.

Career

Bracey has shown widely at galleries including Manchester Art Gallery; ICA, London; Pumphouse gallery, London; The Lowry, Salford; and Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff. he has been shortlisted for the John Moore’s Painting Prize, Oriel Mostyn open and Emergency at aspex. He has had exhibitions at firstsite, Colchester; Transition Gallery, [3] London; Porch Gallery, Manchester; The Usher Gallery, Lincoln. [4] Andrew Bracey is a member of Suite Studio Group.

Bracey is a senior lecturer in Fine Art at The University of Lincoln, [5] and has been a visiting lecturer at Liverpool John Moores, Huddersfield, Salford and Wolverhampton Universities.

Nicholas Middleton is an English artist born in London, England in 1975. He studied at the London Guildhall University 1993. Paula MacArthur was born in Enfield, England in 1967. MacArthur was joint first prize winner in 1989 of the ‘John Player Portrait Award’ at the National Portrait Gallery, London with Tai-Shan Schierenberg. In 1993 she graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts where she was awarded the ‘Royal Academy Schools Prize for Painting’, that same year she was a prize winner of ‘Liverpool John Moores 18’. Julian Brown is a British artist. He lives and works in London. He studied at Liverpool John Moores University, England (1993–96) and Royal Academy Schools, London (1998–2001). His work is heavily influenced by childhood visions and the folk-art from his Polish mother. He was long-listed for the John Moores Painting Prize in 2016 and in 2012 was shortlisted for the Marmite Prize in Painting IV (2012–13). Brown has exhibited his work nationally and internationally and is a member of Contemporary British Painting.

Gordon Snee British abstract painter who began work in the late 1940s

Gordon Snee was a British abstract painter who began work in the late 1940s. During his lifetime he rarely exhibited his work. It was only after his death in 2013 that his life's work was revealed. Snee has been described as an "outstanding talent", "one of the 'lost painters' of the post-war period, and "one of the finest post-war abstract painters".
