Sir Andrew John Cash KStJ OBE (born 14 October 1955) was Chief Executive of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He retired from the role early 2019.

He was educated at Bristol Grammar School, the University of East Anglia (BA, Economic and Social History) and the University of Leeds. [1]

Cash was appointed an Officer of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2001 New Year Honours. [2]

He was knighted in the 2009 Birthday Honours. [3] [4]

In 2015 the Health Service Journal judged him as the second to top Chief Executive in the National Health Service. [5]

Sir David Nicholson is a public policy analyst, Chair of Worcestershire acute hospitals NHS trust and NHS manager who was Chief Executive of the National Health Service in England. He was appointed in October 2011 following the NHS reforms, having been seventh Chief executive of the NHS within the Department of Health since September 2006. He issued what has become known as the "Nicholson challenge" regarding the finances of the NHS. He retired from the role on 1 April 2014.

Hassan Suhrawardy

Lieutenant-Colonel Hassan Suhrawardy CStJ, FRCS was a Bengali surgeon, military officer in the British Indian Army, politician, and a public official. He was the former Chairman of the executive committee of the East London Mosque. Knighted in 1932, he renounced his British honours a month before his death.

Dave Ramsden

Sir David Edward John Ramsden CBE is a British economist and has been Deputy Governor for Markets and Banking at the Bank of England since 4 September 2017. He was previously Chief Economic Adviser to HM Treasury and Head of the Government Economic Service, having previously served as Joint Head of the Service with Vicky Pryce, formerly Chief Economic Adviser and Director-General at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

Lieutenant General Sir Maurice Robert Johnston is a retired British Army officer. He served as Deputy Chief of the Defence Staff from 1981 to 1982, and Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire from 1996 to 2004.

Jeremy Heywood

Jeremy John Heywood, Baron Heywood of Whitehall, was a British civil servant who served as Cabinet Secretary to David Cameron and Theresa May from 2012 to 2018 and Head of the Home Civil Service from 2014 to 2018. He served as the Principal Private Secretary to Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown from 1999 to 2003 and 2008 to 2010. He also served as Downing Street Chief of Staff and the first Downing Street Permanent Secretary. After he was diagnosed with lung cancer, he took a leave of absence from June 2018, and retired on health grounds on 24 October 2018, receiving a life peerage; he died two weeks later on 4 November 2018.

Sir David Christopher Graham Skegg is a New Zealand epidemiologist and university administrator. He is an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine at the University of Otago. He was the Vice-Chancellor of the University from 2004 to 2011 and President of the Royal Society of New Zealand from 2012 to 2015. His primary research interest is cancer epidemiology.

Professor Sir Anthony Herbert Everington MBBS, MRCGP,, known as Sam Everington, is a GP at a health centre within the Bromley by Bow Centre, in Tower Hamlets, an area of East London.

The Honours Committee is a committee within the Cabinet Office of the Government of the United Kingdom formed to review nominations for national honours for merit, exceptional achievement or service. Twice yearly the Honours Committee submits formal recommendations for the British monarch's New Years and Birthday Honours. Members of the Honours Committee—which comprises a main committee and nine subcommittees in speciality areas—research and vet nominations for national awards, including knighthoods and the Order of the British Empire.

Major-General Sir Ralph Bignell Ainsworth, was a British physician, surgeon, and British Army officer. From 1930 to 1935, he was Commandant of the Royal Army Medical College. During World War II, he served as Director of Medical Services of the Joint War Organization.

The 2018 Queen's Birthday Honours are appointments by some of the 16 Commonwealth realms of Queen Elizabeth II to various orders and honours to reward and highlight good works by citizens of those countries. As part of the British honours system, Special Honours are issued at the Monarch's pleasure at any given time. The Special Honours refer to the awards made within royal prerogative, operational honours and other honours awarded outside the New Years Honours and Birthday Honours.

The 2021 New Year Honours are appointments by some of the 16 Commonwealth realms to various orders and honours to recognise and reward good works by citizens of those countries. The New Year Honours are awarded as part of the New Year celebrations at the start of January and were announced on 30 December.
