Andrew Stahl is an American actor, best known for appearing as Tom McHone in the Christy series and General Armand Stassi in seaQuest 2032 . [1]

As a child, Stahl moved around a lot due to his father's work as an airline pilot. He moved with his parents to a farm in Butler County, Kentucky when he was young. He graduated from University High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1970 and Western Kentucky University (WKU) in 1975. At WKU, Stahl served as one of the section editors of WKU's yearbook, The Talisman. He was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity, Eta Rho Chapter.
Early in his career, he spent time as a musician and visual artist before taking up acting in local regional theater. He spent a short period of time in New York City in the early 1980s, where he studied with Wynn Handman, William Hickey and Jack Waltzer, and performed in various Off Broadway productions. He currently lives on his family farm in Butler County, Kentucky and works out of Atlanta, Georgia and Nashville, Tennessee. He has one son.
Stahl has appeared as the host of a cable educational series created by the Kentucky Blues Society to spotlight Kentucky blues artists.
Stahl also appeared in "The Journey of August King". On television Stahl appeared on "Matlock", "In the Heat of the Night", and "SeaQuest DSV". [3]
SeaQuest DSV is an American science fiction television series created by Rockne S. O'Bannon. It aired on NBC between 1993 and 1996. In its final season, it was renamed seaQuest 2032. Set in "the near future", seaQuest DSV originally mixed high drama with realistic scientific fiction. The first two seasons star Roy Scheider as Captain Nathan Bridger, designer and commander of the eponymous naval submarine seaQuest DSV 4600, the ship prefix standing for "deep-submergence vehicle".

Big Red is the mascot of Western Kentucky University's sports teams, the "Hilltoppers" and "Lady Toppers". It is a red, furry being created by Ralph Carey in 1979. Big Red is meant to symbolize the spirit of WKU students and alumni as well as the sports teams' nickname, the "Hilltoppers," a name chosen because the school's campus sits atop a hill 232 feet above the Barren River flowing through WKU's home city of Bowling Green.

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers men's basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents Western Kentucky University (WKU) in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The Hilltoppers currently compete in Conference USA. The team's most recent appearance in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament was in 2024. Hank Plona was announced as the team's current head coach on April 2, 2024.

The Battle for the Red Belt is an American college football rivalry between the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers football team of Western Kentucky University and the Murray State Racers football team of Murray State University. The rivalry began as an in-conference rivalry within the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC), but both schools have since departed for other conferences. The Hilltoppers were the first to move, transitioning to the Football Bowl Subdivision and playing as an independent in the 2008 season before moving football to the Sun Belt Conference in 2009, followed by a move to Conference USA in 2014. The Racers, which remain in the Football Championship Subdivision to this day, played their final OVC season in 2022, and joined the Missouri Valley Football Conference in 2023. The rivalry has continued as a trophy game, although it is no longer played on an annual basis.
