The first Inter-Cities Fairs Cup took place over three seasons from 1955 to 1958. The competition began with a group stage with each team playing home and away against each other. Due to the competition rules which stated only one side from each city was allowed to compete, many cities with several football clubs picked the best players from those teams to create a city representative side. One of these, the London XI, went on to reach the final where they were beaten over two legs by the Barcelona XI.
Kobe Universiade Memorial Stadium (神戸総合運動公園ユニバー記念競技場) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kobe Sports Park, located in Suma-ku, Kobe, Japan. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 36,000 people. It was built in 1985 for the 1985 Summer Universiade. It hosted the 2006 61st National Sports Festival of Japan main stadium. Local football club Vissel Kobe play some high attendance matches at the stadium.

He played for several clubs, including Esteghlal Tehran, Bayer Leverkusen (Germany), Fortuna Köln (Germany), Rapid Wien (Austria) and Sturm Graz (Austria). He played for the Iran national team and was a participant at the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
Takayuki Morimoto is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a forward. He holds the record for the youngest Japanese player to make his professional debut, and the youngest scorer in J1 League history. Morimoto represented Japan at the 2004 and 2008 versions of the Toulon Tournament, the 2004 AFC Youth Championship, the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship, the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Jonathan Santana Gehre is an Argentina-born Paraguayan former football midfielder and current model. He played for the Paraguay national team from 2007 to 2016. Santana was a key part of Paraguay's national team whilst under management of Tata Martino, featuring in three major competitions, the 2007 Copa América, the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2011 Copa América. Santana missed the final of the latter due to a red card in the semi-final against Venezuela. Santana's career ran from 1998 to 2020, playing in Argentina, Germany, Turkey and Paraguay. In 2021, Santana retired as a footballer and became a model.
