Ane Gabarain Gaztelumendi (born 2 June 1963) is a Spanish actress from the Basque Country.

Life and career

Ane Gabarain Gaztelumendi was born in San Sebastián, Gipuzkoa on 2 June 1963. [1] [2] [3]

She made her film debut in Maider. [2] A mostly comic performer well known in Basque Country, most of her professional career has been in various series on Euskal Telebista [Basque Television]  [ es; eu ] (ETB), such as Bi eta bat  [ eu ], Jaun ta Jabe  [ eu ], and Mi querido Klikowsky  [ es; eu ]. In Spain, she was highlighted in minor speaking roles in La comunidad and 800 Bullets by Álex de la Iglesia. [4] She also played the role of Maritxu, in the series Allí abajo and that of Miren in Patria, an HBO series with participation from HBO Latin America, based on the novel of the same name by Fernando Aramburu. [5] [6] For the latter she was nominated for an International Emmy. [7] [8] She also portrayed Concha in Periodistas . [9] In addition to her film and television work, she has been long involved in the Basque stage scene. [2]
