Angela Dean

Angela Muriel Dean is a British statistician who specializes in the design of experiments. She is a professor emeritus at the Ohio State University, [1] and was the chair of the Section on Physical and Engineering Sciences of the American Statistical Association for 2012. [2]

Dean read mathematics at the University of Southampton, and earned a bachelor's degree there in 1971. She completed a Ph.D. at Southampton in 1975. She taught at The Open University (1975–1980) and at the University of Texas at Austin (1978–1979) before joining the Ohio State faculty in 1980. Since 2003 she has also been an associate member of the Southampton Statistical Sciences Research Institute. She retired from Ohio State and became a professor emeritus there in 2011. [1]

With Daniel Voss, Dean is the author of Design and Analysis of Experiments (Springer, 1999; 2nd ed., with Danel Draguljić, 2017). [3]

In 1993 Dean was elected to the International Statistical Institute. [1] [4] In 1995 she became a Fellow of the American Statistical Association. [5] She was also elected as a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics in 2002. [1] [6]

Gerda Claeskens is a Belgian statistician. She is a professor of statistics in the Faculty of Economics and Business at KU Leuven, associated with the KU Research Centre for Operations Research and Business Statistics (ORSTAT).

Wendy L. Martinez is an American statistician. She directs the Mathematical Statistics Research Center of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and is the coordinating editor of the journal Statistics Surveys. In 2018, Martinez was elected president of the American Statistical Association for the 2020 term.

She also maintains an interest in geoscience and has held executive roles in the International Association for Mathematical Geosciences.

Anne Marie Leggett is an American mathematical logician. She is an associate professor emerita of mathematics at Loyola University Chicago.

Judith T. Lessler is an American statistician and expert on survey methodology, particularly on surveys relating to health and epidemiology.

Susan S. Ellenberg is an American statistician specializing in the design of clinical trials and in the safety of medical products. She is a professor of biostatistics, medical ethics and health policy in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She was the 1993 president of the Society for Clinical Trials and the 1999 President of the Eastern North American Region of the International Biometric Society.
