Angelic Hoodrat is the debut album by American rapper Kenny Mason. It was self-released on April 15, 2020. [1] Production was primarily handled by Mason alongside Angel White, DvDx, SKFUL, Julian Cruz and Julien Earle.

A year later, on April 16, the deluxe edition of the album, titled Angelic Hoodrat: Supercut was released.

Singles

On August 18, 2019, Mason released the single "Hit". [2] The second single “Angelic Hoodrat” was released on December 17, 2019. On February 26, 2020, the albums third single, “Metal Wings”, was released. [3]

Angelic Hoodrat was met with very positive reviews. Josiah Nelson of Exclaim! described the album as a “testament to experimentation, shifting between a gritty, boom-bap smart southern sound with 808s and cinematic bass, and a grungy, melodic alt-rock sound.” [5]

"Use This Gospel" is a song by American rapper Kanye West from his ninth studio album, Jesus Is King (2019). The song features guest appearances from hip hop duo Clipse and jazz saxophonist Kenny G. It was produced by West, Angel Lopez, DrtWrk, Frederico Vindver, and Timbaland, with co-production from BoogzDaBeast and Pi'erre Bourne. The song was recorded as a new version of the leaked track "Law of Attraction", which West came up with in a freestyle session. Clipse's feature on the song marked their reunion, after West requested for a collaboration. A gospel number with a maximalist style, it samples Two Door Cinema Club's "Costume Party" and includes a saxophone solo from Kenny G.

Dark Lane Demo Tapes is the fifth mixtape by Canadian rapper and singer Drake. The mixtape is a compilation of songs that were released on SoundCloud or leaked on the internet, as well as new songs, and is considered a "warm-up" to Drake's sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy (2021). It was released on May 1, 2020, by OVO Sound and Republic Records. Production was handled by Drake's longtime collaborator 40, among others. Edwin Kenneth Green Jr., better known by his stage name Kenny Mason, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer from West Atlanta, Georgia. He is known for his distinctive sound which consists of a fusion between grunge rock, hip hop, and elements of shoegaze.

Madeline Elizabeth Johnston is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and audio engineer. She is best known for her work under the moniker Midwife, and has also released music as Mariposa and Sister Grotto. Her debut album, as Mariposa, was titled Holy Ghost and released in 2013. As Sister Grotto, Johnston released You Don't Have to Be a House to Be Haunted, Blindside, and Song For An Unborn Sun in 2016.
