Anil Kumar (born 14 September 1986) is a former Indian footballer who played as a forward.
After playing for Viva Kerala and Salgaocar in the I-League 2nd Division, Kumar decided to move back to Kerala in order to keep his job at the Kerala State Electricity Board, where he also played for there football team in various amateur Kerala state tournaments. After spending two years at the Electricity Board, Kumar re-signed for Viva Kerala for the 2011–12 I-League season in which he ended the season as the top scorer among all Indian players with 11 goals.
After Kumar's amazing season at Viva Kerala he signed for two time I-League champions Dempo. [1]
On 7 November 2011 Kumar, returned to Chirag United Kerala (formerly Viva Kerala) on loan from Dempo for one season after he was reported to be unhappy about playing time. [2] Kumar then made his third debut for the club on 19 November 2011 against Sporting Clube de Goa in which Chirag lost 0–2. [3] Kumar then scored his first goal for Chirag United Kerala on 3 December 2011 against defending champions Salgaocar in which the match ended 1–1. [4] He then scored his second goal for the club that season against Churchill Brothers on 14 December 2011 in which Chirag lost 1–2. [5] He then scored his third goal for the club on 31 January 2012 against Mohun Bagan in a match that Chirag lost 1–3. [6]
After his stint with Dempo, Kumar signed for I-League side Mohun Bagan. [7] After the season ended Kumar left the club. [8]

The 2009–10 I-League season began on 1 October 2009 with Mahindra United hosting defending champions Churchill Brothers in Mumbai. The season marked the addition of four new teams, with Lajong, Pune, Salgaocar and Viva Kerala were confirmed to participate in the I-League. With the inception of these four clubs, many club transfers have been undergone within India, and around the world. The length of the regular season will be longer than in previous years, with 26 rounds rather than 22.

The 2014 Indian Federation Cup Final was a football match between Churchill Brothers and Sporting Goa played on 25 January 2014 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, Kerala. The match was the culmination of the 2013–14 Indian Federation Cup. This was the 35th edition of the Federation Cup, the national cup tournament of football in India which is administered by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). Churchill Brothers won by defeating Sporting Goa 3–1 with goals scored by Balwant Singh, Alesh Sawant, and Abdelhamid Shabana while the Sporting Goa goal came from Victorino Fernandes. This was the first time Churchill Brothers had won the tournament.
