Anima Vitae is an animation studio based in Helsinki, Finland. Anima is known for CGI animation feature Niko and The Way to the Stars (also known as The Flight Before Christmas) (2008) which was sold to over 100 territories. [1] The movie was also nominated for the Best Feature at the European Film Awards in 2009.[ citation needed ] Currently the sequel for Niko, "Niko2 – Little Brother, Big Trouble" (also known as Little Brother, Big Trouble: A Christmas Adventure), is traveling around the world. The film's producers Anima Vitae and Cinemaker were also nominated for Cartoon Movie's European Animation Producer of the Year in 2013. [2] In 2013 Anima set up its second animation studio, AnimaPoint, to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in cooperation with a local partner, Creative Media Point. [3]
Anima is a privately owned animation studio founded in the year 2000 and located in Helsinki, Finland. With a sister company, Anima Point in Kuala Lumpur, Anima is a full service 3D animation production company. Anima's first real international hit, an award-winning 3D feature "Niko & The Way to the Stars" (2008) has been sold to over 100 countries. In year 2009 Anima was nominated for a Cartoon Movie Tributes as the best European animation producer, and European Film Academy slated Niko for the Best animation feature film of the year. Its sequel, Niko 2 – Little Brother, Big Trouble (also known as Little Brother, Big Trouble: A Christmas Adventure), premiered in 2012 and was nominated in four different categories for Finnish movie award, Jussi. [4] Niko 2 was also a key element for Anima to get nominated for a Cartoon Movie Tributes 2013 as the best European animation producer. [5] Anima has produced on a subcontractor basis seven TV-movies, 233 episodes of a weekly 15 min primetime political satire The Autocrats, 60 episodes of a local hit series Jefferson Anderson, around 300 high-end commercials and a large animation installation for Finnish Pavilion at Shanghai World Expo 2010. [6] At the moment Anima Vitae is developing a feature animation film called Fleak. The Finnish Film Foundation supports the development of the film.
Currently Anima is working on the new Moominvalley (TV series).

Folimage is a French animation studio, based in Bourg-lès-Valence, Drôme, France. It was founded in 1981 by Jacques-Rémy Girerd. The studio produces animation films for cinema and TV. In 1999, the company founded an animation school, La Poudrière, also in Valence. In 2009, Folimage and La Poudrière moved to La Cartoucherie, a former munitions factory in Bourg-lès-Valence.

The Flight Before Christmas is a 2008 animated Christmas film directed by Michael Hegner and Kari Juusonen. It revolves around a young reindeer named Niko who must overcome his fear of flying by heading to Santa Claus' fell to save him and his fleet of flying reindeer from a pack of wolves. The film was a Finnish production with co-producers in Denmark, Germany and Ireland. It was produced by Anima Vitae, Cinemaker Oy, A. Film A/S, Ulysses Films, and Magma Films. The animation was produced in Finland, Germany and Denmark, with post-production carried out in Ireland. A 45-minute television edit in American English, was produced in the United States for CBS under the title The Flight Before Christmas. A sequel, Little Brother, Big Trouble: A Christmas Adventure was released in October 2012 in Finland. It is one of the most expensive Finnish films.
Magos y Gigantes is a 2003 Mexican animated fantasy-comedy film produced by Ánima Estudios and 20th Century Fox and released on November 19, 2003. This is the first feature film from Ánima Estudios and the first theatrically released animated film created with Adobe Flash, a program often used for internet cartoons. It was also the first Mexican animated feature in 30 years.
Marshall "Buzz" Potamkin was an American television producer and director known for founding his own television advertisement production studio, Perpetual Motion Pictures aka Buzzco Associates, and helping to establish Southern Star Productions. Along with advertisements, Potamkin focused on producing made-for-television animation, beginning with several television films based on the Berenstain Bears series of children's books. He went on to produce series for Turner Entertainment and, more specifically, Cartoon Network, including every episode of Cartoon Network's animated showcase series, What a Cartoon!, a project developed for aspiring animators to make pilot shorts that the network could choose to develop into full-fledged series.

Film (Denmark), and Tidal Films (Ireland). The animation was produced in Finland, Germany and Denmark, with post-production carried out in Ireland. It is the sequel to The Flight Before Christmas and was written by Hannu Tuomainen and Marteinn Thorisson, and directed by Kari Juusonen and Jørgen Lerdam. It was released in Finland on October 12, 2012. Anima Vitae and Cinemaker OY were nominated for Cartoon Movie Tributes 2013 in the category “European Producer of the Year”. Like its predecessor, it is among the most expensive Finnish films ever produced.
Awesome Magical Tales is an animated series created by Adolfo Martinez Vara and José C. Garcia de Letona. Inspired by the characters from the 2003 Mexican animated film, Magos y Gigantes, the series was created and produced by Ánima Estudios and co-produced with SLR Productions, Home Plate Entertainment and Telegael Teoranta. It made its first introduction on Seven Network in Australia on 31 December 2012. In Mexico, the show premiered on digital and streaming platforms, dubbed as Generación Fairytale.
Barry Cook is an American film director who has worked in the animated film industry since the 1980s. Cook and Tony Bancroft directed Mulan (1998), for which they won the 1998 Annie Award for Best Animated Feature. Cook was also the co-director for Arthur Christmas (2011), directed by Sarah Smith. Cook also directed Walking with Dinosaurs (2013) with Neil Nightingale.
