Anita Krohn Traaseth (born 16 December 1971 in Sandefjord) is a Norwegian business executive and author. She was director of Innovation Norway from 2014 [1] to 2018 [2] and is currently chair of the board for a number of companies. [3] [4] [5] [6] She is a former managing director of Hewlett-Packard Norway. She lives in Oslo.

Career

Krohn Traaseth started her career as a trainee in IBM Norge in 1996. She joined the Norwegian division of Hewlett-Packard (HP) in 2009 and in 2012 she became the first female managing director running a local branch of Hewlett-Packard in Scandinavia. She was the former CEO of the commercializing company Simula Innovation, and was director of strategy in DNV Software between 2002 and 2005. She has been a board member of KLP [7] and since 2013 elected President of HP EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Afrika) Women's Council. [8]

Krohn Traaseth became well known for the Norwegian public when she published her application for the MD position [9] of HP Norway in her private leadership blog Tinteguri (established 2012). She is inspired by John Kotter and implements his eight step for transformation in all operative job assignments. She was voted one of top Young business talents in Norway 2003, [10] ranked amongst top 40 Leader potentials cross business, politics and science in Norway 2009 and received the awards for best female leader in the ICT industry in Norway 2012, Oda-awards. [11] In 2013 she received the Social Media Personality of the Year Award from Kampanje.

She was director of Innovation Norway from 2014 to 2018. In that same period, Innovation Norway delivered 24% more services to Norwegians business, reduced operating costs by 6% and was awarded the Most Attractive Employer of the year by students three years in a row. [12] She resigned in 2018 after delivering what the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten described as "the best results for the company ever". [13] Traaseth is currently chair of the board for a number of companies including Start Up Norway, [14] Qvisten Animation, [15] Skyfri [16] and Bocuse d'Or Norway. [17] She also sits on the board of the European Innovation Council [18] with a mandate to advise on overall strategy for the EIC, identification of strategic portfolios of projects and actions to improve the European innovation ecosystem. [19] In addition Traaseth runs what the business paper Kampanje has branded "Norways number one podcast on leadership" with over one million downloads. [20]

Books

In March 2014, Krohn Traaseth published her first book Godt nok for de svina; and was published in English as Good Enough for the 'Bastards´ in August of that year. [21] She has since published the novel Kamel uten filter in 2019 and the leadership memoir Fisken på Disken in 2021. [22]

Mazyar Keshvari is an Iranian-born Norwegian former politician for the Progress Party and a convicted felon who is serving two prison sentences for fraud and violent threats. He was elected as a substitute member of the Norwegian parliament for the city of Oslo in 2013, representing the right-wing and anti-immigration Progress Party, and attended parliamentary sessions from 2013 to 2018 as the substitute of the mandate holder Siv Jensen who has been on leave from parliament during her government service. As a politician he was known for taking a hard stance on immigration, calling for a complete ban on further immigration to Norway, a stop to the practice of accepting asylum seekers in Norway, and the deportation of immigrants convicted of crimes. In 2019 he was convicted of aggravated fraud for defrauding the Norwegian parliament and in 2020 he was sentenced to 11 months imprisonment. He left the Norwegian parliament following his indictment in 2018 and also left the Progress Party in October 2019. In 2019 he was also arrested and charged with making violent threats, and he was convicted and sentenced to an additional four months in prison in 2020.

Hadia Tajik is a Pakistani-Norwegian jurist, journalist and politician from the Labour Party. She served as Minister of Labour and Social Inclusion from 2021 to 2022. She previously served as Minister of Culture from 2012 to 2013. She was 29 years of age at the time and became the youngest minister to serve in the Norwegian government. She is the first Cabinet member that is a Muslim. Tajik has served as a Member of Parliament representing Rogaland since 2017, and Oslo from 2009 to 2017. She was also the party's deputy leader from 2015 until 2022.

Melodi Grand Prix 2018 was the 56th edition of Melodi Grand Prix, Norway's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. The competition was held on Saturday, 10 March 2018 in the Oslo Spektrum; which has hosted all the Norwegian finals since 2001. The hosts were Kåre Magnus Bergh and Silya Nymoen, who also hosted the finals in 2015 and 2016, and the former also in 2017. Ten songs participated in the final, and like 2017, the winner was chosen by the viewers together with ten international jury groups. Alexander Rybak won the competition with his self-composed song "That's How You Write a Song". Rybak also won both the Norwegian and international finals in 2009. Rybak represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Portugal in May 2018. There, the song finished as number 15 in the final.

Eirik Horneland is a Norwegian football manager and former player who is the manager of Eliteserien club Brann. He played as a defender and spent most of his playing years at Vard Haugesund before finishing his career at Haugesund. After retiring as a player, Horneland moved into coaching, first as an assistant manager at Haugesund, before becoming the coach of the Norway national under-19 football team.
