Anizo Correia (born 23 May 2003) is a Timorese footballer who plays for K4 League club Pyeongchang United and the Timor-Leste national team. [1]

Club career

Liquiçá

Correia started his career at Liquiçá of the Segunda Divisão until 2018.

FC Lero

In 2018, Correia moved to league rivals FC Lero.

Ponta Leste

In 2019, Correia moved to Timor-Leste successful club, Ponta Leste of the Primeira Divisão. [1]

Pyeongchang United

After playing for five years at Ponta Leste, Correia was scouted by fourth tier Korean side, Pyeongchang United. In March 2024, he officially joined the K4 League club.

International career

In October 2021, Correia represented Timor-Leste in 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualification. He made two appearances for the team during the group stage. [2]


Two months later, on 14 December 2021, he went on to make his senior international debut for Timor-Leste in the 2020 AFF Championship match against Singapore. [1]

On 28 May 2022, Correia scored his first international goal in a friendly match against Nepal.

The 2016 Liga Futebol Amadora is the first season of the Liga Futebol Amadora. The season began on 25 February 2016. The 2020 Copa FFTL was an association football competition in men's domestic Timor football. The tournament was organised by the East Timor Football Federation and was held during 2020 in response to the Liga Futebol Amadora league system being cancelled due to COVID-19. The tournament was contested by the 20 clubs from the Primeira Divisão and Segunda Divisão. The competition featured a multistage format, with the participating teams initially being divided into four groups of five teams, each team playing each other once. After the group stage the four group winners and the four group runners-up progressed to the quarterfinals of a knockout finals series to determine the winner. The tournament was won by Lalenok United, defeating AD Sport Laulara e Benfica in the final 2-1.
