Ankur Garg (born 6 April 1982, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh) is an Indian film Producer, Entrepreneur and a Partner at Luv Films, a prominent production company in the Hindi film industry. With a professional background spanning technology, business, and cinema, Garg has built a reputation for combining creative insight with strategic business leadership. Ankur is currently serving as Vice President of the Producers Guild of India and is also a part of the Regional Council 2023–2025 (West) as the Advisory Council Member of NASSCOM. His contributions span a range of commercially successful and critically acclaimed films, alongside ventures in cloud technology and global cinematic collaboration.

Early Life & Education

Ankur Garg was born in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, where he received his education. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering (Information Technology) from University of Pune in 2005 and later earned a management degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in 2010.

He has also completed a professional program in Film & Television Producing from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a short course in Direction from National Film & Television School (UK).

Personal Life

Ankur is married to Priyamvada, a screenwriter with a Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is an avid polo and sailing enthusiast and occasionally plays golf at the Willingdon Sports Club in Mumbai.

Career

Garg began his professional journey at Microsoft Corporation in 2005, where he served for seven years and rose to the role of Lead – Customer & Partner Experience. In September 2012, Garg co-founded Luv Films alongside childhood friend and filmmaker Luv Ranjan. Guiding both creative and commercial aspects of the production house, Ankur has overseen the production of numerous commercial and critical hits, including:

In 2013, Ankur founded IFI Techsolutions, an IT services firm delivering cloud and managed services out of Mumbai. IFI Techsolutions has its presence in USA, UK, UAE, India, Singapore & Australia and has earned Microsoft Solution Partner designations for Infrastructure, Data & AI, Digital & App Innovation and Modern Work.

In August 2013, Garg also launched iForIndia.org, a non-profit social initiative aimed at enhancing accountability in Indian politics by fostering civic participation and promoting data-driven governance.

Beyond cinema, Ankur sits on the board of Resvera Winery Limited as an Independent Director helping scale-up the company that produces wine from Jamun. He recently joined Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) - a global leadership community for chief executives.
