John Joseph Daly was an Irish runner who won a silver medal in the steeplechase at the 1904 Summer Olympics. In 1924, he won a gold medal as a member of the winning U.S. team in the men's 4×200-meter freestyle relay, together with teammates Ralph Breyer, Wally O'Connor and Johnny Weissmuller. Glancy and his American teammates set new world records in both the semifinals (9:59.4) and final (9:53.4).

Frederick Stephen Seaman was an Indian field hockey player who won a gold medal as part of the Indian team in the 1928 Summer Olympics. Born to Thomas Henry Seaman, a police inspector, and his wife Martha Ann (O'Connor) Seaman, he later became a customs officer in British India. Frederick Seaman and his family left India after its independence in 1947, settling in Pennsylvania. He died at Hershey, Pennsylvania in 2004, age 94.
