Anna Eames (born October 1, 1990 [1] in Robbinsdale, Minnesota [2] ) is an American swimmer. She competed at the 2012 Summer Paralympics and the 2008 Summer Paralympics.
The 2012 Summer Paralympics, branded as the London 2012 Paralympic Games, were an international multi-sport parasports event held from 29 August to 9 September 2012 in London, England, United Kingdom. They were the 14th Summer Paralympic Games as organised by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
Oscar Leonard Carl Pistorius is a South African former professional sprinter and convicted murderer. Both of his feet were amputated when he was 11 months old owing to a congenital defect; he was born missing the outside of both feet and both fibulae. Pistorius ran in both nondisabled sprint events and in sprint events for below-knee amputees. He was the 10th athlete to compete at both the Paralympic Games and Olympic Games.
Eleanor May Simmonds, OBE is a British former Paralympian swimmer who competed in S6 events. She came to national attention when she competed in the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, winning two gold medals for Great Britain. She was the youngest member of the team, at the age of 13. In 2012, she was again selected for the Great Britain squad, this time swimming at a home games in London. She won another two golds in London, including setting a World Record in the 400m freestyle, and a further gold medal at the Rio Paralympics in 2016, this time setting a world record for the 200m medley.
Angola first competed at the Summer Paralympic Games in 1996, and has competed in every edition of the Summer Paralympics since then. The country has never participated in the Winter Paralympic Games.
Tatyana McFadden is an American Paralympic athlete of Russian descent competing in the category T54. McFadden has won twenty Paralympic medals in multiple Summer Paralympic Games.
Manuela Schär is a Paralympian athlete from Switzerland competing mainly in category T54 sprint events. She has used a wheelchair since the age of 8, when a playground accident paralysed her from the waist down.
Jonathan Peacock MBE is an English sprint runner. An amputee, Peacock won gold at the 2012 Summer Paralympics and 2016 Summer Paralympics, representing Great Britain in the T44 men's 100 metres event. He won a Bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
Michael Roeger is an Australian T46 athletics competitor. He competed at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 and 2020 Summer Paralympics athletics in middle distance and marathon running events. He has won one gold and three bronze medals at the IPC Athletics World Championships and a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics. His gold in the Men's T46 marathon at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships was held as part of the London Marathon, set a new world record.
Carlee Beattie is an Australian Paralympic athletics competitor. A congenital arm amputee, she won the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Paralympics and a gold medal at the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships in the Women's Long Jump. She represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.
Stephanie Morton, is a retired Australian track cyclist. She has won national and international cycling titles, and was Felicity Johnson's tandem pilot at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, where she won a gold medal.
Burkina Faso sent a delegation to the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, United Kingdom, from 29 August to 9 September 2012. This was the country's fifth appearance at a Summer Paralympic Games. The Burkinese delegation to London consisted of two athletes, Lassane Gasbeogo and Kadidia Nikiema, who competed in wheelchair cycling at the Brands Hatch race circuit in Kent. Neither athlete won any medals in their respective events, with the best finish of Burkina Faso at these Paralympics coming from Nikiema in the women's road trial H3 race with a sixth-place result.
Anna Harkowska is a Polish cyclist. At the age of 14, she won two gold medals in the 1992 Barcelona Paralympics as a swimmer, however an ear infection left her unable to continue. She later trained in running and took up a triathlon, and eventually focused her efforts on cycling. In May 2002, she was hit by a motorist in Szczecin, sustaining 26 fractures in her legs and nearly losing her left leg. After several surgeries and months of rehabilitation, she returned to professional cycling. In 2012, she participated in the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, where she won three silver medals.
Anna-Carin Ahlquist is a Swedish in wheelchair table tennis player and paralympic champion. Ahlquist represented Sweden at the 2008, 2012, 2016 Summer Paralympics, and 2020 Summer Paralympics.
Omara Durand Elías is a visually impaired Cuban sprinter, who competes in T12 and T13 events. At the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, she won gold medals in the 100 m – T13 and 400 m – T13 competitions. At the 2016 Rio Paralympics she won the 100 m – T12 event, setting a new world record at 11.40. At the 2020 Summer Paralympics, she won a gold medal in the Women's 400m T12.

Anna Kulinich-Sorokina is a visually impaired Paralympian athlete from Russia competing mainly in T12 classification and F12 classification sprint and javelin throw events. Kulinich-Sorokina represented Russia at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London where she won a silver medal in the javelin throw. Eder has also won multiple medals at IPC World and European Championships including the 2013 World title in the javelin throw.
The 2017 World Para Athletics Championships were a Paralympic track and field meet organized by World Para Athletics, a subcommittee of the International Paralympic Committee. It was held at London Stadium in London from 14 to 23 July 2017. It was the 8th edition of the event, the first to be held after being renamed from IPC Athletics World Championship, and featured 213 medal events.
Zhou Xia is a Chinese para-athlete who competes in sprint events. She won two gold medals at the 2016 Summer Paralympics, in the T35 100 m and 200 m races. At the 2020 Summer Paralympics, she won two gold medals in the T35 100m race and T35 200m, setting a new world record in both event.
