Nana is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ai Yazawa. It was serialized in the monthly shōjo manga magazine Cookie from May 2000 to May 2009 before entering a hiatus. The series is centered on Nana Osaki and Nana Komatsu, two women who move to Tokyo at the age of 20, with the story focused on Nana O.'s pursuit for fame and Nana K.'s pursuit for romance, all while struggling to maintain their friendship.

"Kuroi Namida" is the fourth single by Japanese singer Anna Tsuchiya, released on 10 January 2007 under the pseudonym "Anna Tsuchiya inspi' Nana " on the Mad Pray Records Label, a sub-label to Avex. It spent six weeks in the Oricon singles chart, reaching #7 on 22 January 2007. The song was used as an ending theme to the anime-adaption of the Japanese manga Nana. It was Tsuchiya's second single used in the series, the first being "Rose".
Olivia Inspi' Reira (Trapnest), is the third album by Japanese singer-songwriter Olivia Lufkin. It was released on February 28, 2007 and features original songs and singles from the anime, Nana, for which she serves as the song vocal-cast of Reira of Trapnest. It includes two live versions of "A Little Pain" and "Wish" in addition to a previously unpublished song.
Nana Best is a special compilation album featuring the combined words of Anna Tsuchiya and Olivia used in the first season of the Nana anime. The album was released in two versions, CD+DVD and the low priced CD only version. The albums were released only one month after the release of two full-albums dedicated solely to one singer each's work for the anime respectively. The first press of the CD+DVD version includes a special Nana mouse pad as well as a "skeleton"-style sleeve package. The best album features five tracks that solely appear on the best album, namely "Stand By Me" - the fifth ED theme for Nana by Anna Tsuchiya, Tsuchiya's cover of the Sex Pistols`s Anarchy in the U.K., a "Studio Live Version" of Tsuchiya's Lucy, a new song from Olivia called "Nothing's Gonna Take Me Love" and finally a live recording of the song "Recorded Butterflies" by Olivia. The DVD features all of the opening and ending sequences used in Nana without credits overtop of them, as well as four "original animation" clips set to music throughout the show. This album was released one week before the airing of the final episode of the first season of the Nana anime.
18: Eighteen is the debut studio album by Nana Kitade. It was originally released August 24, 2005 in Japan. The album peaked at #16 on the Oricon chart and charted for five weeks. On September 7, Kitade held a special one-man live show, which was titled Nana Kitade Live Showcase '18: Eighteen', in Shibuya-Ax. First press editions of the album included a ticket to the live show and handshake event. On December 7, she released a DVD called Nana Kitade: 18Movies. The DVD consists of all her music videos up until this point, clips from her one-man live show, commercials for her releases, and a studio recording of "Kesenai Tsumi". The album was released in the United States on July 11, 2006 through Tofu Records due to increased popularity overseas.

"The Letter" is the third single by the band Hoobastank from their fourth studio album, Fornever (2009), released in the United States on January 27, 2009, and on June 19, 2009, in Australia. It is a duet version with Melbourne-based singer Vanessa Amorosi. Hoobastank singer Doug Robb said they want to release "The Letter" in many countries with different female artists. A video for "The Letter", featuring Amorosi, was shot in April 2009 by Grammy nominated director Paul Brown, also featured Jesse Charland as the bassist who eventually became an official member that year.
