Anthony Christopher Bahadur or Anthony Adur (born February 25, 1988) is a Canadian professional soccer player who played in the Canadian Soccer League, USL Premier Development League, S. League, Thai Premier League, National Premier Soccer League, and the North American Soccer League.

Career

Adur began playing in the Ontario Soccer League with Cruz Azul Shooters, where he received the OSL Provincial East U21 MVP award in 2006. [1] As a result, he was called up to play in the Canadian Soccer League with Cruz Azul's parent club the Italia Shooters. In his debut season with Italia he won the CSL Championship by scoring the lone goal in a 1–0 victory over the Serbian White Eagles. [2] In 2008, he signed with the Toronto Lynx of the USL Premier Development League. [3] He played a total of 11 matches and recorded one goal. [4] After the conclusion of the PDL season he returned to the CSL to sign with North York Astros. He helped the club clinch a postseason berth and faced the White Eagles in the quarterfinals, but lost to a score of 2–1. [5]

On 3 February 2009 signed a contract with Sengkang Punggol FC in Singapore, and played with former Lynx teammate Murphy Wiredu. [6] In 2010, he signed with Maccabi Haifa in Israel, but was released six months later. [7] He then moved to Thailand to sign with TOT S.C. where he spent two seasons. [8] He had brief stint in National Premier Soccer League in 2012 with Zanesville Athletic FC. [9] In 2013, he returned to Canada to sign with FC Edmonton of the North American Soccer League. [10] [11] In Edmonton he featured in eight matches. [12]

In 2016, he returned to play with his original club the York Region Shooters, where he appeared in 8 matches and recorded 2 goals. [13] During the season, he won the regular season championship. In the preliminary round of the postseason he contributed a goal in 5–0 victory over Milton SC. [14] Their playoff journey came to a conclusion after suffering a 4–1 defeat in a penalty shootout to Hamilton City SC. [15] In 2021, he returned to the Ontario Soccer League to play with GS United. [16]

SC Waterloo Region is a professional Canadian soccer team that plays in the Canadian Soccer League, a non-FIFA-sanctioned league. The club was formed in 2011 under the name KW United FC and competed in the Second Division of the CSL. The following year the organization's name was changed to SC Waterloo Region and was promoted to the First Division. Within a short time Waterloo enjoyed a string of success within the league. The 2015 Canadian Soccer League season was the 18th since its establishment where a total of 22 teams from Ontario took part in the league. The season began on May 9, 2015, and concluded on October 25, 2015. Toronto Croatia won their sixth championship in a 1–0 victory over SC Waterloo in the CSL Championship final held at Warrior Field in Waterloo, Ontario. In the regular season, the Serbian White Eagles clinched their fourth regular-season title, while Milton SC won their first second division championship.

The 2016 Canadian Soccer League season was the 19th season under the Canadian Soccer League name. The first match of the season was played on May 21, 2016, and ended on October 30, 2016. The season concluded with Serbian White Eagles claiming their second CSL Championship by defeating expansion franchise Hamilton City SC by a score of 2-1. In the Second Division, the York Region Shooters B defeated Toronto Atomic FC B 2-1. During the regular season, York Region claimed their fifth regular-season title and achieved a team milestone by recording their best defensive record allowing only 10 goals a record not matched since the Ottawa Wizards in the 2003 CPSL season. Meanwhile, SC Waterloo acquired their third Second Division regular-season title.

The 2017 Serbian White Eagles FC season was the twenty first season in the club's participation in the Canadian Soccer League .They began the season on May 26, 2017 at home against SC Waterloo Region. Throughout the season they maintained their traditional status of an elite club by finishing the season as runners up in the regular season. They only recorded one defeat and achieved the second best offensive record. In the postseason they failed to successfully defend their CSL Championship after losing to York Region Shooters in the semifinals.
