The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a professional American football team based in Tampa, Florida. The Buccaneers compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league's National Football Conference (NFC) South division. The club joined the NFL in 1976 as an expansion team, along with the Seattle Seahawks, and played its first season in the American Football Conference (AFC) West division. Prior to the 1977 season, Tampa Bay switched conferences and divisions with Seattle, becoming a member of the NFC Central division. As a result of the league's realignment prior to the 2002 season, the Buccaneers joined three former NFC West teams to form the NFC South. The club is owned by the Glazer family and plays its home games at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
Vincent Frank Testaverde Sr. is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for 21 seasons. He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes, where he was a consensus All-American and won the Heisman Trophy in 1986. Despite not being selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Testaverde retired with more career passing yards and passing touchdowns than other enshrined Hall of Fame quarterbacks, such as Joe Namath, Roger Staubach, Dan Fouts, Joe Montana, Steve Young, Jim Kelly, Troy Aikman, and Kurt Warner.
Jamael Orondé "Rondé" Barber is an American former professional football player who spent his entire 16-year career as a cornerback with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He is the identical twin brother of Tiki Barber, a former running back for the New York Giants. Barber grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and played college football for the University of Virginia.
Anthony Darelle"Booger"McFarland is an American former professional football player who was a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Louisiana State University and was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft. McFarland also played for the Indianapolis Colts, and won two Super Bowl rings in his career: one with the Buccaneers and another with the Colts. Anthony played college football for the University of Florida, and received consensus All-American honors. Frank Middleton Jr. is a former American college and professional football player who was an offensive guard for eight seasons in the NFL during the 1990s and early 2000s. Ogunbowale signed initially with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2017, going on to join the practice squads of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins, then returning to Tampa Bay to play for two seasons.
