Suffolk Downs was a Thoroughbred race track in East Boston, Massachusetts, United States. The track opened in 1935 after being built by Joseph A. Tomasello for a cost of $2 million. For years, Suffolk Downs held a Grade II race event at the track called the MassCap. Because of declining revenues as result of growing Indian casinos in Rhode Island and Connecticut, Suffolk Downs canceled the 2009 MassCap.

Canterbury Park, is a horse racing track in Shakopee, Minnesota, United States. Canterbury Park Holding Corporation hosts pari-mutuel wagering on live thoroughbred and quarter horse racing at its facilities in Shakopee, Minnesota and pari-mutuel wagering on races held at out-of-state racetracks that are simulcast to the Racetrack. In addition, the Canterbury Park Card Casino operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is also regulated by the Minnesota Racing Commission. Casino games include blackjack, baccarat, Ultimate Texas Hold 'Em and poker. Canterbury Park also derives revenues from related services and activities, such as concessions, parking, admissions and programs, and from other entertainment events held at the Racetrack. Furthermore, Canterbury Park is pursuing a strategy to enhance shareholder value by the ongoing development of a total of approximately 140 acres of underutilized land surrounding the Racetrack in a project known as Canterbury Commons. The Company is continuing to pursue several mixed-use development opportunities for the underutilized land, directly and through joint ventures.
Emerald Downs is a thoroughbred racetrack in Auburn, Washington, located a half mile east of Highway 167. It is named after Seattle, the Emerald City.
The Polo Park Racetrack was a Canadian horse racing facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Considered one of the finest racetracks in Western Canada, it was built by Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame inductee R. James Speers. The six-furlong track opened in 1925 under the charter of the Winnipeg Jockey Club and the charter of St. Vital Agricultural Society in Winnipeg, Manitoba. At the same time, James Speers founded the Prairie Thoroughbred Breeders' Association to promote a breeding industry in Western Canada. In 1930 he created the Canadian Derby, a premier race for Canadian-bred three-year-old Thoroughbreds hosted by Polo Park Racetrack until its closure in 1956.

Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino is a racetrack in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, just east of Opelousas. It is owned and operated by Boyd Gaming. With a one-mile oval track, the facility provides close to 1,000 horse stalls for Thoroughbred flat racing and American Quarter Horse racing. The original track opened on April 28, 1966 at Carencro, Louisiana and remained there until 2005 when it moved to Opelousas, Louisiana.
